Because the engine sucks and does most on the CPU. Looks like VAM2 will fix that.wait why is it using like alot of my gpu i have a 3080ti why is it using all my card?
1) it's serviceable but you need VR for the best experienceI am downloading this but while it is downloading I have a few questions for people who played this game without VR.
- Is it comfortable to play without VR?
- How long it takes for a new player to create an enjoyable animated scene? I am not a content creator, I'll just play this to fap. While I'm open to learning I don't want to spend days learning basic stuff.
- I have other games that can be compared to this one, for example Honey Select and Koikatsu. Those 2 games have easy to learn character creator and studio modes. How is this game compared to those game modes? Is it similar?
- I'm low on HDD space, is it enjoyable to play without mods? Is 100GB free space enough for this game and mods?
Thanks for taking your time to answer my questions.1) it's serviceable but you need VR for the best experience
2) depends on how complex you want the scene to be. vam isn't very user-friendly imho and the clunky UI doesn't help. if you just want to rub one out just use the hundreds of premade scenes and adjust to your liking.
3) vam's char creator is pretty similar though you need to download a TON of mods to really make it shine
4) it's honestly kind of meh without mods. 100Gb is enough but you really need to be picky with what you download. for example, my vam folder is slightly above 600Gb now. but I'm a compulsive hoarder.
good luck on hunting those mods and plugins. imho now is probably one of the worst times to be starting to get into VAM since the "better" system was implemented. just comb through the old thread and hope some of the shared links are still active. there's still a treasure trove in there if you sift through all the drama
Hey Bob! do you have noheadnoleg stuff? i think i saw a collection in this same archive site shared in old closed vam thread..kittymocap archived with thumbnails from torrents and shares through end of Dec.

Bulk downloads on that side can be managed by changing from Thumbnails on right to List. Copy all and paste into jDownloader.

Lower the physics steps on hair and clothing individually, those are responsible for most of the GPU usage.wait why is it using like alot of my gpu i have a 3080ti why is it using all my card?
Possessing someone is meant for VR I think, with the motion controllers for the hands. There's a plugin "Embody" which is way better anyway for first person view than the default possess feature. (And strongly recommend the "improved POV" plugin)Then tried to possess the girl pre-loaded within said scene and I still have no idea how the fuck am I supposed to even do it with keyboard and mouse.
I wouldn't try to create custom animations as a fresh user. That's some more advanced stuff. Even for experienced users, without a VR headset and motion controllers it's horrible to create animations. If you still want to dig in google "animation patterns" or "Acidbubble timeline". Again, not really practical without motion controllers.I also added a male character to scene to have sex because this is a sex game afterall but I wasn't able to add animations to any characters.
Yeah VAM has a very steep learning curve. When you download a character with the built in asset browser, there's a blue button to open the scene directly after downloading. After you opened the scene you click on the character and create an "Appearance Preset", put in a name and take a screenshot for it to save. Just leave the default save destination.Menu after menu after menu... just to setup a basic scene and I couldn't even find how to add downloaded characters to the scene let alone sex animations. Also do animations even exist? I am not sure.
There's no real way around experimenting with downloaded scenes to learn how to use VAM. There are some tutorials out there, but most of them are outdated, so you have to adapt the workflow for the new interface. For me, after like 10-15h I slowly got the hang of it, hours of googling and experimenting. Learn how VARs work, learning the menus and scene management etc.The only meaningful thing I was able to do in 1 hour of playing this game is click and drag the default character body around the scene like a maniac. Developers of this game needs to be a WAY more user friendly. I doubt even if I had VR I'd be able to do anything meaningful with this game.
All links are still live, and we have not received any reports of systems being down over the past weeks.redknight00 you are a joke :
YOU guys censored the old thread, blocking EVERYONE to post on it.
YOU imposed a new system that is STILL DOWN as i speak.
YOU are still avoiding to awnser or fix any of the issues that YOU guys caused by closing the old thread.
YOU have no justification to keep the old thread closed, especially now that the new method has been down for more than a week, and that everyone can see that the posting have been falling down drasticly when it still going on in other sites.
Strop playing the firefighter for a fire you lighted by yourself ... You want to fix the issue ? Reopen the old VAM thread, leave people alone and free of what they want, and stop imposing your incompetence and lazyness like a second-hand Cartman, by asking everyone to go and post on something that is still down as we speak.
YOU, and only YOU are the cause of this issue ...
Thanks a lot man! i appreciate you bro.you can find him through the creator update threads. open drives incognito mode. they are maintained by same person you mentioned from old thread.

there's also 7 gigs of NHNL in the july '21 torrent
I'll go from top to bottom regarding your questionsThanks for taking your time to answer my questions.
I've already downloaded and tried to do a few things. I installed some mods using in-game mod browser, tried adding a character I downloaded to the empty scene and failed because menu's are confusing as hell and I couldn't find characters I've downloaded.
Then I opened a scene after puzzling through confusing menus once again. Then tried to possess the girl pre-loaded within said scene and I still have no idea how the fuck am I supposed to even do it with keyboard and mouse.
I also added a male character to scene to have sex because this is a sex game afterall but I wasn't able to add animations to any characters.
At this point I'm pretty sure this "game" is made for developers and not players like me who just want to fap. One of the mods I've downloaded required tweaks to the scene and character before it is applied and I literally didn't understood what the fuck is going on in install tutorial of it.
Menu after menu after menu... just to setup a basic scene and I couldn't even find how to add downloaded characters to the scene let alone sex animations. Also do animations even exist? I am not sure.
The only meaningful thing I was able to do in 1 hour of playing this game is click and drag the default character body around the scene like a maniac. Developers of this game needs to be a WAY more user friendly. I doubt even if I had VR I'd be able to do anything meaningful with this game.
After 1 confusing as hell hour of playing this game I decided to uninstall it. It just isn't worth the effort. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future but right now I'm confused because it feels like I need to be a game developer to understand how to "play" this "game".
yes but the fps could chug in some scenes. adjust your settings accordingly. So I have a 1050Ti 4GB Nvidea card but 32GB of RAM and a good processor, will I be able to run this on my Quest 2?
VAM is super powerful once you smashed your face against the learning wall and there's nothing better out there currently. But yeah it kinda comes with the requirement of you being willing to learn and a bit of a creator yourself.
There are many scenes out there which are basically "ready to play" though. If you want to customize those scenes to your likings, there's a bit of learning needed.
If you like more plug and play action you might want to look into Cpt. Hardcore, but since you don't have a VR headset there is no real point in both programs imo.
I just wanted to say thank you both for taking your time to answer my questions but I already uninstalled it and I don't think I'll ever come back to it.I agree that Vam has a steep learning curve and I was also once almost in the same boat as you. but my desire to coom to VR Jill Valentine gave me the strength to continue. just learn it one step at a time and don't be afraid to ask questions. once you get the hang of it you will be rewarded with arguably one of the best sandbox porngames out there
that's fine. but to be fair you did try to do advanced stuff first and honestly, it's really not too hard to get started. it basically goes. download all the stuff you want->load up scene->change the characters you want to use->possess the male>fap. people tend to stick with Vam even with the performance issues and general jankiness due to it having a truly insane amount of customization and content. to each their own I guess. I used to have honey select and Koikatsu too but found the customization and content very lacking. maybe when Vam 2.0 gets a complete release the UI would have been streamlined and be more user-friendly so do try it by then.I just wanted to say thank you both for taking your time to answer my questions but I already uninstalled it and I don't think I'll ever come back to it.
The reason for that is I have Koikatsu and Honey Select and I can already do whatever I want there easily enough(except vr stuff).
So I just couldn't justify the time I'd spend learning this game when I can already do similar things in other games.
Maybe in the future when I finally have VR I may come back to try it again but I somehow doubt that.
Trust me, you're going to want to check it out in VR. and for what it's worth, I had to install and uninstall vam like 3 times before I finally understood it and now I can't go back to any other gameMaybe in the future when I finally have VR I may come back to try it again but I somehow doubt that.
