Thanks

So I have to run this everytime I run VAM right?

Also, what settings should I use?
Yes, run the LosslessScaling and VAM. click on the scale button and switch back to VAM. if you do this right you should see before and after FPS on the top left corner. I also use these settings.

I tried this Lossless Scaling frame gen and upscaling over some games, thinking it wouldn't be that good.
God damn, it's so good, now I really want a mod of this for VR @_@

How to edit the registry
I should correct myself, since AFMF2, there is technically support for borderless fullscreen. It does not seem to matter for VAM however. I don't recommend messing with the registry if you don't know what you are doing, but if you are so inclined, try searching "exclusive fullscreen registry edit" for a tutorial.

You may want to try the "Lossless scaling" app linked here (Or buy it on steam) as it now supports MFG. Meaning you can more than 2x the framerate, which is the current limit for AFMF2, AFAIK.

But it will add some noticeable input lag right?
If this ever will work with VR, it will be a motion sickness fest.

Does loseless scaling works on quest 3 vr mod? im currently using cable link for my quest 3 to play vam. loseles scaling seems to work on desktop but not in vr. Are you using old version of loseless scaling? mine doesn't look like this.

I wonder whether Lossless scaling is better than AFMF2

Yes I've done this already. VAM is workable on my setup but still lags a lot. I have to disable a lot of the clothes and backgrounds
If you can sacrifice some visuals then try to set every hair on fast, and disable soft breast and glutes physics, and shader settings to medium instead of high.

It does add some input lag still, but with the newest update it has been improved to what id consider acceptable for a slow paced action game.

Keep in mind, the higher your base framerate, the less added input lag there will be. It also depends on how many frames you add in AFAIK. Lossless scaling now allows for up to 20x frame generation. They still reccomend at least 60fps base framerate in most cases. However they do make mention of 48fps x5 framerate for 240hz and show a benchmark chart with 40fps base framerate.

As gghhoosstt123 mentioned, it can be used on video content as well. Personally Ive been using it on PCSX2 to get the new "Gran Turismo 4 - Spec 2" mod running at 240fps. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing in some cases.
