How comes the 30 fps 4k video is the largest in file size? And the 4k 60 fps is only like 15% bigger than the 30 fps 2k one.
Someone with technical knowlage can explain that to me? I thought better resolution equals higher filesize basically

It's all about the bitrate. Higher bitrate = bigger size. 4K 30 FPS has 115.6k bitrate, while 4K 60 FPS has only 84.6k bitrate.

I didn't download the 4K 30fps video to check the encoding, but the 4K 60fps video is encoded using HEVC which could also explain the lower file size

The artist has interpolated the 60FPS version here. Therefore, I believe that unlike the earlier 60FPS release, Gwen's Special Holiday (which I couldn't share), the Yavanna 30FPS_Final is the true frame rate. Any 60FPS versions will be interpolated files, and future releases may follow the same.

The codec/format bro. . If u find a HEVC (h265)video formatted, it reduce the size and compressed with good quality but not every video player can play it smoothly. Sometimes VLC has problem with it, just sometimes. U can play with MPCHC K-Lite codec pack smoothly. But if u find same files AVC(h264) with low bitrate it will reduce the quality and size.
