Hey your Rabbit hole Miku video under gif is unable to play. Idk if it's an error on my end or not but i can't get it to open via the Mega web browser nor on my vlc

Not quite sure why it wouldn’t. It’s just a standard mp4 file. All the video was, was the gifs just put together in order that Waero provided. No audio included though. So if it’s not working, don’t worry about it too much!

Good news all! I am currently in the process of using each set of GIFs and creating videos with simple transitions like I've seen Waero do. Hopefully this won't take too long to complete all of them, but this is my first time using a video editing software. The plan is to make each "section" of the videos around the same length, give or take the "importance" of each clip. (Side note, I'm going to create a video whether it already has one or not, since my self-diagnosed OCD would go crazy if I didn't make one.)

I will plan to upload the first one as an example here shortly.
P.S. I also plan on getting the Mari rewards within the next 48 hours.

I did complete the first 8 (Up to 2018.11 - DarkMagicianGirl) and then realized that I should probably put more effort in trying to make the frame transitions cleaner if possible. I ended up going frame-by-frame on '2018.12 - Zooey' since the yoyo was extremely choppy between clips at first, but I managed to smooth it out for the most part. It does seem like rendering went wonky in a few spots (I have a super old prebuilt PC) but I plan to go back and retry those as time goes on.

Hi, can i ask a question? I make video from waero gifs too for personal use . I usually use ffmpeg for that task, and i dont know how to make transitions like you do. Maybe you can explain more about how you do it or with software or library you use?

What I use is called DaVinci Resolve Studio. It’s a professional-grade video editing software that’s around $300. The transition I use is called “Brightness Flash”. To quickly describe the process, you first have to arrange your video timeline with the clips you are wishing to render. You also need to custom set the resolution which can be found under the file properties and details. Each clip then needs to be cropped in order to actually have space for transition. I found that cropping five frames works perfect since you avoid potentially removing parts of the clip you want.

After rendering, I then port the file over to HandBrake, which is a free video compression software. It takes it from about 300-500MB from DRS to around 100MB after compression.

Like I mentioned, I’m still brand new to the process since I want to do video editing in the long-run, so there’s probably better ways of doing it, but it seems to be working fantastically for the goal I had set in mind, for now.

Edit1 - 6/20/2025 - 3:12AM: I did notice that sometimes there are rogue colored pixels that appear during the transition AFTER rendering the video. The only way I managed to get them to disappear is to switch the Key Frames from Automatic (every 30 frames), to a smaller number (I went with every 1 frame). This MASSIVELY increased the file size (from about 300-500MB to around 800-1100MB), but even after sending it through compression, it shrank to around 100MB like before. I call it a success!

I had absolutely zero clue what you meant at first since you didn’t specify what you were talking about. Thank goodness I still have access to the rewards link to double check. I typically only keep the Illustrations Waero sends in the rewards IF I like them. Consider yourself lucky that the rewards link is still valid It’s in there now.
