You're just focusing on the wrong things. So the dev puts some silly jokes in there; if that's what you focussing on in a game like this, then you're simply playing it wrong.
I play and enjoy the game for the story and the sex, both of which I got plenty of in this update, leaving me satisfied.
My expectations aren't low. I'm simply not a nitpicker.
As for the dev's promises and Patreon or whatever, I don't care about any of that. If you do, then go complain about it on the Patreon, not on this free pirate site.
Complaining about the quality of released content on a pirated site is like grumbling about the taste of food you stole from a buffet. It's a bit like sneaking into a movie theater through the back door and then being upset that the film isn't to your liking. You didn't pay for the ticket, so it's somewhat ironic to expect a five-star experience.
Exactly who's feet am I kissing? I'm simply enjoying a free game. If it continues updating, I'll continue playing. If it doesn't, I'll enjoy another game. As for what the dev gets up to on Patreon, that's between him and his subscribers. I care as little about any of them as I do about any random stranger. Doesn't make the game any worse, though.

By your logic you shouldn't be praising a game you got for free too. Its stupid logic. You're bending over backwards to drown out criticism because "le pirate site" but will post all your warm wishes about the game about about how you like it and defend it.
You can't have it both ways. I'm tired of people giving passes to shit dev behavior just because they pirate it lmao. If people didn't pay for it you couldn't get it for free either. So everything you are saying is idiotic and reductive and hinges on your nihilism.
I'm sorry that even a pirate site expects devs to still act right and not grift. Especially when said pirate site is the BIGGEST ADVERTISEMENT for the game.

I already told you I don't care about the dev or his patrons. I'm an asshole, and I only care about my own enjoyment. I enjoy the game. Thus, I enjoy the game. That's all there is to it. If the dev's patrons cared or thought the same as you, they should stop supporting him, and if they don't, then I'll happily reap the rewards of their stupidity.
If people didn't pay for it, I'd find another game to enjoy. There are plenty of free ones out there.

The game is nice but this dev is scum do not defend his ass.
I really don't know why people keep telling me not to defend the dev when I've said several times I don't give a whit about the guy... He can be a saint, or an asshole, and I'll still enjoy the game. I didn't know about any of the things you just said, and my thoughts about him have literally changed nothing. Because I never thought about him in the first place.
That said, it's not like I don't support any game. I'm a patron of a few, but if I'm not supporting a dev, then I really don't care what they get up to, whether or not I still enjoy their game.

Just a word of advice... Before you download a game and play it for the first time, take a look at that little date marker in the upper left corner of the 1st page. I can pretty much guarantee that any game/VN that is more than 4 years old is going to degrade in both the story narative and quality. do not set your expectations too high for the second half of the game if that is the case. There may be rare exceptions but not many.
Probably badly called instance of the player name variable in the code.
