"i'm actually not even anywhere close to finishing the update so heres an excuse so i can buy myself anther month before i need yet another excuse"

if the updates is done and up, i would love to see "more" content. its been so long, but guess what? i dont pay him for the game so i dont really ahve the "rights" to be mad or whatever.

It's no wonder most devs don't visit or post on this board direct any more. Everybody just complains about how long updates take on the game that 99%+ are contributing absolutely nothing towards making.
If you contribute then go complain on Patreon or whatever otherwise I'd rather not have to scroll through constant whining to get to a decent conversation.

You and the person you quoted seem to be under a misconception that on Patreon "if you pay, you have the right to complain". The way things stand, even if Irphaeus were to actually "owe" somebody something, it would be on an ethical level at best.
Please stop using this as an argument, it dies a cringeworthy death the moment you understand how Patreon operates. Even "tired of everyone complaining" is a stronger argument than that.

Git is free and takes an hour to setup tops (And that's only if you have no idea what you are doing and have to Google everything. Otherwise it's a matter of minutes. )
Source control is a good idea even if you are working alone on a project, just for backup reasons.
But working on a multi-person project without source control? Insanity.

i was his patron until he started milking people. i frontloaded every single update in the past 2 years, so i guess i do have the right to complain, dont i? i also have the right to use my own stupidity as a cautionairy tale to educate others not to give this dev a dime, and i also have the right to use my prior experience with them to sarcastically make fun of their continuous excuses why they have to delay the update this time, dont i?
