I look forward for it to be on Steam too (and with controller support or mapped support). But I'm not holding my breath. Steam could reject it. Itch could even pull WDS pay out like they did for Monolith Bay and games by Cute Pen Games.Me still waiting for Steam version/release/page/any news
Even any of "planned/not planned/in consideration" answers would do. At least people with Steam would know what to expect. So far all the content it have I've seen in other games currently available without any problems on Steam. If Carnal Instinct is still there and it have an actual pregnancy feature (note: I'm not asking for it for WDC, just mentioning), then this game will be just fine.I look forward for it to be on Steam too (and with controller support or mapped support). But I can wait as I can currently play it on my Steam Deck and Linux Laptop just fine (I've posted a HowTo on that, search for "WINEPREFIX".)
For me, it makes sense to hold off wider distribution until finalized. There's not just Steam either, there's other store fronts like gog.com, Nutaku, indiegala.com, dlsite.com, etc.
WDS has been awesome so far. I can wait on their marketing push until they are ready.
- Via Patreon, Itch & F95, WDS keeps "Operations" simple so they can focus on the game creation. Those three platforms provided a very narrow and active feedback loop regarding features, bugs, and other game creation aspects.
- WDS releases WDC insanely fast (weekly) ... something AAA & AA studios can never meet. It's a "Fail fast" pattern of iterative changes that works for this game. That might upset some Steam users not wanting to update before every play session.
- If put on Steam, WDS would flooded at a global scale. WDS would have to waste more time dealing with all the trolls, negativity, etc which would harm the game's creation progress and/or their mental health. With the narrow comm channels above, they get genuine respect, honest feedback, and lots of real love, patience & appreciation from the community having naturally developed. (As a smaller group, we are more understanding of IRL happenings.)
- Going on Steam would likely require additional tuning for success (like supporting Game Controllers), consumers would want Achievements, Trading cards, Badges, etc. All of that would need to be produced.
- Itch provides an experiment of one-time payment. And the affordable Patreon provides a residual income to pay expenses while they develop it further -- which isn't realized with a one-time purchase on Itch (or Steam). Game resources like Voice Acting, Artwork, etc. is not cheap.
it's already fixed! Not sure if this has been posted, but I noticed that when you have sex with the nurse in the hospital you can't escape her.
Do you mean that, for example, you tell an NPC to be dominant and it stays that way regardless of your settings?I hope I word this right but, any chance a future update could make being dominate or submissive a separate trait per character instead on needing to toggle it every time during an animation?
No I mean your created character. Like I make a character, set them to dominate, save them. Make another character, set them to submissive, save them. Then when ever I load the card it's set to what I saved them as instead of needing to switch every time.Do you mean that, for example, you tell an NPC to be dominant and it stays that way regardless of your settings?
It makes so much sense! I'm going to do it this week!No I mean your created character. Like I make a character, set them to dominate, save them.
