what do I need to do to trigger the cat potion after the shreaking shake. Hermione mentions it, then I waited till Friday went to the corridor at evening but nothing happened and she always has a exclamation over her icon?

It happened in my game in the great hall. Somone spiked Hermiones drink. MC follows her (do not tell her). In the library the potion works.

Yea it's the second potion. I am not at the ball yet but the potion was mentioned in at the beginning of December, I broke up with Lavender unlocked the shreaking shack at the end of November. I didn't want to start the ball in case I missed something since I had planned on taking Luna to try and get to the sex on all three girls in one playthough without cheating...to much...I had stopped playing when there was only Ginny and Hermione as lovers and just decided to wait for the game to be finished.
After you have rented a room and passed the scene with Astoria, something strange happens to the game. The save is attached.

Not the dev but I had a quick test of that save and yeah it went wonky on me. It possible that the save became corrupted due to the stats being too high. Try a much earlier save or start again.
The thing is, it's not the first time. And the anomaly is happening in this exact spot. Even if you refuse to help Harry, the game still does not work correctly.
Maybe so, but the stats should not affect the script, hence this is a bug. It should be fixed.
So you HAVE cheated the stats and POSSIBLY introduced a bug into YOUR game, but the DEV should fix it??
Have you stood behind my back and seen me cheat on statistics to claim that?
Let me make it clear at once, all stats I raised in the course of the game, in the code of the game did not climb, cheats did not use. It's just pointless. Keep your lust in check, visit the library and classes, and it rises on its own. I didn't even go to all the classes.

A couple of questions about fem Harry.
1. Is fem Harry sex only possible for a male MC?
2. Will it bug the game to have sex with fem Harry as Male MC but then change the gender of the MC in quest 74 to female. Or will it just prevent you from getting the option to convince Harry to stay female after Voldemort confrontation near the end?
Supposedly we've worked out all the consequences of your character changing gender, and the game should work it out correctly. The game does not take into account your character's former gender.
