After a year or more of following this game, I just have to say, I completely do not understand it.

It's almost like it's scientifically designed to be annoying and make the content not worth unlocking.

Case in point: There are apparently scenes in the spa. In order to get to the spa I have to run through an area with several enemies. The enemies award no experience, there is no real equipment to buy, and I can't take party members for whatever reason, so at no point will this task become trivial.

Moreover, there are three time "chunks" each day. 7 days. That means in order to catch the spa scene I may need to run through this area up to 21 times. If they're not there, I have to walk back. Few more minutes. Takes a few minutes each way each trip, so it could take UPWARDS OF TWO HOURS just to see this one scene. And that's assuming I dodge the enemies every single time. If I don't? They can just stunlock me until dead. Or maybe not. Total RNG.

Other points of frustration. The GRIND. Jesus fuck, the grind. Watching affection tick up at 1 point per day doing the same event OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER -- for no reason! It's genuinely baffling. All I can say is "Thank fuck for the cheat room", because it's basically not worth playing without it. At this point I wish this game was just a scene gallery, because every part that qualifies this game as a game and not a collection of random scenes is basically awful.

I keep waiting for the gameplay to incrementally improve with the updates, but it's actually going the opposite direction. All that gets added is a scene or two (which are good, mind you) but usually hidden behind a bunch of bullshit, RNG, fumbling around in the darkness, boredom and blueballing.

Would surely like to see some of the threesome scenes and such, but the mechanics of doing that being what they are, cannot be bothered. I would propose that we create a collection of community saves for different scenes (since some can't be repeated apparently) until the gameplay is less cancerous or a scene gallery is finally added.

The genuinely ridiculous part? All of these problems are SO EASY TO FIX. The fact that they're still here and getting worse suggests that someone actually *wants* it this way. WHY???
Such a "story" just needs to comment...
I understand your dissatisfaction with some aspects of this game. I have also known W&B for a long time and agree with some of your comments. BUT! It's likely that making changes to the gameplay is harder than you think. Maybe the author does not have enough time. Maybe not enough desire. Maybe he is focused on improving the quality of sprites, and postponed changes in the gameplay for later. We do not know for sure.
Maybe the author is a fan of old hardcore RPGs, in which the player himself had to figure out where to go and what to do. And he doesn’t like casual shit like Skyrim, where they show you on the map where you are, where you should go and what chest to look into to find the quest item. We don’t know that either.
I only know that in this game almost everything is based on logic. And exploring the world is rewarded with new scenes and dialogues. I have seen on the forum many times questions, the answers to which are so elementary that you begin to doubt the presence of the brain of the person who asked. Damn, is it really that hard to think? Just stop and think.
"What the hell? In the last fight, I could use magic, but I couldn't in this fight. Why? What has changed? What did I do between these fights?"

how to get the scene with fina under the waterfalls i only get the fap option
Read. Damn. Forum.
I answered this question literally on the last page. Why so fucking hard to read a couple of pages BEFORE asking a question? We are not an explanatory team.
WHAT DO I DO AFTER I GET THE NIGHT GUEST QUEST?
What is a "night quest"? When does sister Elizabeth ask not to go out at night? You need to defeat the succubus. Just go outside and walk around the village until the succubus attacks you. It may take 10 seconds, or maybe a couple of minutes.

for the part of going to the spa, the only enemies that block you are slimes, said slimes do not approach you if you are wearing the slime terror (included in game several updates before), and even if you were to touch them while wearing it there wouldn´t be a battle unless you click on them.

and if you're sick of doing the same thing trying to up people's relationship just use the cheat room, the game isn't complete there will prob be better ways to do it in the future but for now you DO have options

This is true, but does not change the fact that we're still talking about engaging in inherently counterintuative and un-fun activities in order to unlock content. Nobody would ever find this content without reading about it in a walkthrough or the changenotes. Even if you know about it already it's a pain in the ass.

That suggests the the gameplay might be badly designed.

I have enough familiarity with RPG maker to know what I'm talking about.

If your intent is to have people explore, then incentivize exploring by rewarding exploration (and not just with scenes). As it is, exploration is PUNISHED.

You are forced to go around on your own. Enemies will still mostly beat you even if you use the cheat room (at least prior to the introduction force-win cheat option, the fact that they had to add this really says more about the gameplay than I would ever need to in order to prove that it is garbage)

Suppose I go exploring. Suppose while exploring I get into a fight and am forced to use a potion. The potion costs 20 gold. In order to recoup my costs. I now have to spend the next 4 days sleeping and farming at 6 GP a day in order to cover my costs. FOR ONE POTION.

All that needs to be done to fix this shit is tweaking a couple of events, and changing some values in the database. But either the person responsible for making this game doesn't actually play it and is only interested in making scenes, or someone thinks that this shit is good gameplay.

After years waiting for it to become more playable, I don't really care which it actually is.

If they have to keep adding cheats to the cheatroom in order to make the game quasi-playable, they should just REMOVE THE COMBAT or make the whole game into a scene gallery. Because right now it plays like a shitty, boring scene gallery that punishes you for wanting to watch the scenes.

Find the perfect game with the perfect economy and perfect balance, in which there will be a stitched walkthrough with detailed explanations of all the details of the game. And let in this ideal game instead of all locations there will be one long corridor. So you do not get lost. Let all the enemies die from one look at your character. Let all the potions be made from nothing and sold for a million.
This is SO INTERESTING!!!
There is a very simple solution that will save you strength, time and mental health.
Don't play it game.

my friend, i must disagree, in order to make viable the figths in this game you need to spend time making potions, dinner and farming ingredients there is a functional skill progression, if you make potions it would progress from trash tier potions (recovery 100) to superior tier (recovery 300), the same with the spells the more you uses them the stronger they get, and when you explore whit Eric you obtain 15 golds almost guaranted, while i admit that in the early parts of the game you get destroyed if you are not careful, its realistic taking into acount that you are a beginner warlock.

I'm running into a weird bug where my character seems to be stuck constantly moving left. This doesn't happen in literally anything else, so it can't be my keyboard

You must defeat slim girl in cave on rightside of woods ( its on way to waterfall) after that take some slim to jar. Manyitmes fap to jar and Lizzy will born. Dont feed her and after few days talk too Carla.
Sorry for my English.

It happens to me.
Perhaps this is sticky keys. Try to quickly double-click on the button corresponding to the direction of movement of the character.

Do you mean a secret quest with Lizzy?
During the quest for activating the magic circle, you collected a jar of mucus. After activating the circle, this jar was still with Krowly and during the “masturbate before bedtime” scene the option “cum up in jar with slime” appeared. Cum there several times (10 times it seems, maybe less) and the slime will turn into a slime-girl. Then you need to leave her at home for a few days, she gets hungry and starts suck all the guys in the village at night.
You can find out about this from Carla in the tavern. Dialogue option "rumors". After that, just go out at night and check the houses of all the men. In one of them will be Lizzy.

Wow, you sure kicked the shit out of that strawman argument that nobody made. Well done.

I don't need perfect anything. Nor do I have any issues with a nonlinear game. I just don't want borderline unplayable dogshit gameplay. I don't want to have to repeat the same scene with the same dialogue dozens of times, watching a variable tick up one point at a time in order to get to real content. I want the gameplay to be fun. If I'm supposed to explore, encourage exploration by not locking it behind engaging in a monotonous bullshit task for hours on end.

Especially after 2 years of development there should have been *some* progress. It shouldn't still be borderline unplayable without the cheat room. New scenes should not be getting locked behind these bullshit mechanics until the mechanics themselves are partially or mostly working.

This is just common sense.

I really do think this is a situation where the content creator made a barebones structure and isn't really thinking about gameplay, and is instead producing the obligatory 2-3 scenes to keep his patrons happy and then pasting them into the game world somewhere. But it has gotten to the point where the act of getting to the content pisses me off more than the content itself gets my dick hard. Not a good sign in a porn game.

This is all true. But that goes right to the heart of what I am saying.

Let's think about it -- What does everything you just mentioned actually involve?

  • Farming the one farmable tile. Over and over.
  • Selling ingredients at the shop. Over and over.
  • Reading the same dialogue. Over and over.
  • Wasting the money on insufficient supplies that don't enable you to explore.
  • Wasting the money on food. The hunger system doing literally nothing other than wasting your time.
  • Fighting slimes. Over and over.
  • Eventually use these shitty, over-expensive items to kill the slime boss.
  • Back to farming the same tile over and over. Used up all my money killing the slime boss.
  • Sell ingredients at the shop. Over and over.
  • Rinse and repeat.

Once I get to that point that you mentioned, I will indeed be better situated to explore. I will also have pissed away half a fucking real-life day doing literally nothing, and the biggest most cardinal sin of all: I probably wont have seen any boobs.

If this game were some harvest moon titty fest with added sorcery I would be out singing its praises, but it's not. There's clearly some intent to make it something like that. The reason people like those games, despite the grind inherent in those games, is because the grind itself is fun. Here it simply is not. And there has been no attempt made in 2 years to improve that situation.
