I don't know. I feel each update has been full of a fair amount of content which yes does help the dev take his time and gain more money but we also get more content more often then other games like demon deals. This forum has been pretty active even with this game taking so long to finish.

Clearly I haven't noticed that but personally have only seen that for a couple quest like the hot spring quest (which to my l pretty sure is the only one) and the like the miscellaneous things like a defeat scene here or there.
