Saying "it's what I want" does not help anyone who does not know what the dev wants to make in terms of choosing whether to pay attention to/fund the game or not.
The game's free... It's always been available to download and play for free, for nearly seven years of development to date. There's literally nothing stopping anyone from ever downloading it to try it out for themselves to see if they like it or not.
Hell, even mainstream games are reliant upon people actually playing them to decide if they'll want to "pay attention" to them and increase the likelihood of future projects being purchased by them.
