It’s currently hard so say, as the hint system only tells the player how to get on the NTS route - with no mention of how to get on the NTR route. Probably because you can’t this early in the story? Which kinda leads me to believe you will have to, once again, corrupt your “wife” to a point, then simply start telling her to dress like a nun

Yes. It has potential to do it better. Will it, though, is another question (more below).
I think there's the definite potential here to do it without the player's direct involvement. The friend seems set to try something, and it would be nice to see a game just go for it rather than making you thread the needle to make it happen. I agree that it's probably too early for the NTR hints to come in (presuming there will be some of those as well).

On one path, Paul says it was some random girl and she didn't really say anything, just walked off. You can later see the picture on the laptop of Merry and note that Paul was therefore lying about it.
