God no. We don't need another dev resorting to AI and potentially ruining the look of their game for a few seconds of animation.
God yes. We need more Dev’s embracing new technologies to make more realistic looking VNs. As Dev’s become more adept at it you won’t have the transition hiccups. I cannot name other VNs but there are a few where you can see the progression. I get the purists out there, but it’s like trying to stop a tidal wave with a leaf blower. It is the future.

My leaf blower blows like the gay dudes on Bourbon Street...so that tidal wave of AI can stay right wherever the fuck it's at

You should definitely help out Lady Lana. I see loads of potential

AI-generated animations have only recently begun looking halfway decent or anything even closely resembling the source material, so no, the time is not yet.

Currently, it is expensive and still invokes that "uncanny" feeling.

You are right.

And yet, we can sense that we just have to wait a couple of years, if not months, to witness AI videos matching our expectations.

About the short video posted end of page 29, you may have noticed something very bad if you look at both characters arms ;)

Wha….? Lol. Err…ok. Leaving your leaf blower out of it - good luck with your sentiments because soon AI will dominate these VNs.

It's not about transitions for me, it's about fundamental problems with the faces and movement. The themes invoking the motion are extremely limited. There's a vast range of human emotions able to be captured in vns, and almost all the ai interpolations feel the same.

Yup. AI animations can be made to look convincing and beautiful, but only if used carefully - trying to animate every single motion quickly evokes that uncanny feeling again... not to mention the odd body morphing if careless enough.
