Did the dev mentioned any new project? This game was good, maybe just a bit rushed in the end

Yes. There was a dev update about 3 weeks ago, which was the last update before the initial release. So it's close.
Only Patrons know what was actually in the post though.

He will make an announcement sometime in January, along with the release date and trailer.
From what I remember, Dev said he’s gotten much better in terms of animations - "a whole different level", according to him. He also added motion capture actors and voice actors to his team, so the game will have full voice acting as well.

That’s good to read. The animations definitely left something to be desired here and there, and some camera angles were a bit poorly chosen or not very rewarding. That said, all the LIs were already top-notch in my opinion, and I’m curious to see what comes next. I also hope he takes the criticism to heart and doesn’t rush the ending of a project again, because the ending of Welcome to Free Will was honestly pretty terrible.

Most developers have a real job to, so that really doesn't matter.
And no those aren't the only developers that have that kind of money, because Steam brings in a substantial amount of funds, example is FreshWomen making "millions".
