Which would you prefer? That we listen or remain faithful to our vision? No wonder Dev's get frustrated at times. I like to read this thread as it's not going to change my story, but can affect the way I think about how I develop the characters or how I use dialogue. Having said that I'm not going to go against my own preferences so I'm not going to fall into the potholes of humiliation, mc's with little dicks, black guys with monster dicks, and so on and so on. I'm more than happy to take feedback (except on the subject of American English v English English) and that feedback may, or may not change the way I do something based on the feedback, not on whether it comes from a paid Patreon follower or otherwise. I find these threads useful as a way of getting me to look at my stories from different angles and I believe that's good.
Personally, the moment I see a developer asking for player opinions or polls regarding story decisions, relationships, paths, or fetishes with the intention of following the majority's will, I stop playing that game
A developer can ask for polls on non-essential matters like weekly artwork, DLCs, "what if" scenarios, and the like; but handing the steering wheel over to the users has always, without fail, caused that game to go to shit

I like developers who have high self-confidence
In fact, my favorite games have developers who never allowed player interference; meaning the game is the same now as it was at the start, and this has made me have complete respect for them. They have paid attention to objective, logical, and constructive feedback, but not in the sense of entering a path they have no understanding of or interest in, but rather to improve the very path they were on from the beginning!
I quickly steer clear of games by developers who, out of fear of losing fans or to gain more, sycophantically try to cram everything into the game based on comments, Patreon, and so on

Unpopular opinion, I like a well written kinetic story better than a clumsy cyoa. Most cyoa stories I've played aren't "immersive" enough that, instead of roleplaying, I don't ask myself the same questions every time a choice pops up: what sexy times will this one lead me to, and will it lead to stuff I don't like? it's not always obvious, which creates anxiety, and I'm not the "permadeath" kind of gamer, I play games purely for gratification, not for the "challenge", no interested in "finding out" what my choices lead me to, what I want is to know the exact path to what I enjoy best. So, kinetic sounds great, it's just a matter of enjoying the same things as the author. When I don't, others will and it works best than if the author had tried multiple paths purely to attract more people, if they don't fully identify with all of them.

Ah see I'm the opposite to the extreme extent many wouldn't like - I loved stuff like Paradise City's super convoluted path flows and forks, makes for way more replayability and exploring.

Both Paradise City and Couple's Duet of Lust have tons of bugs and the story often doesn't respect your choices. All that complexity would be interesting if implemented well, but Ive never seen it implemented decently.

my problem with a Kinetic story at least when it comes to NTR and NTS games. You feel like you kind of need to get an idea what kind of content it will have especially for things some players may not like or want to see. Now if the Kinetic part is just for the story and not the sexual acts that's different.

Lately I started to like games that are more in the middle. Where either there isn't alot of branching , or just the story is Kinetic but the choices around the LI aren't. As the last heavy branching game I played I felt exhausted by time I finished playing it. Sometimes something simpler is more enjoyable as I can turn my brain off , only good thing I will say about harem games they usually allow you to enjoy it while turning your brain off. Tho I guess that has to do with me still wanting a break from a game with a good amount of branching after playing a heavy branching game.

Just go Harem path
The developer has forcefully shoved a harem route into this game just to please some people
Do you really think this MC, with that backstory of struggling to satisfy even one woman, and with that face and personality, could actually have a harem?
A sharing and a netorare route would have been enough for this game
The existence of a loyal route is also believable

Yeah, I won't play PC anymore. Like I mentioned before, I don't like how the wife went from innocent to slut overnight. Plus I needed a more detailed WT than I've ever needed before. Not worth the stress.

He had a lot of stress at work and had low libido because of that, but when he came to this paradise island his libido skyrocketed. It's relatable, actually :HideThePain:

Besides, the game is a big joke, non of the paths make much sense and the game is actually funny sometimes at each path, I had a good laugh on all of them

I don't think relieving stress would cause such a huge change
I haven't played much; does it have a slow-burn route—not too slow-burn? (Like, instead of sleeping with another man on day one, she sleeps with him on day seven?)

The game is a big meme, the characters are not deep, treat it as a porn comedy. Only on the harem route the wife is not a slut. Like I said, even on the harem route you are asked if you want to share her with other guys - so I expect that content in the future

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad game. I only played it for half an hour—didn't have time for more—so I don't really have an opinion on it yet
But in that half hour, I realized this MC can't have a harem, though the loyal, sharing, and NTR routes seem plausible

At least Paradise City, in its defense, respects the hard limits like humiliation you put on at start :sneaky:

And yeah, I see it as memey too which is probably why I don't judge it too harshly; the whole tone doesn't feel dour regardless of what's happening on screen. Such is not the case with Darrel's duet of lust. (aside from the 100% vanilla path but that's a bore)

I will say I think the game is good but it is weird that it basically forces you through Darrell. I was personally fine with how it was handled and liked what came after. Too bad it was abandoned, I was looking forward to the wife with the college virgin.
Yeah, that was my only problem with the game, having to go through Darrell, but I was glad we were able to dump him eventually.

100%, and id probably be receptive to it if it started with the player having control here.
