idk LOL, but yea, it's a weird intro for sure. It is very much played as a 'this has already happened' and the game is the MC showing how they got there. I could be wrong.

But I agree with you, I don't see how this is a hotwife scenario, MC has the classic smaller penis (well, smaller for these type of games LOL, we'll have to see the other guy) that can't perform, so his wife starts fucking other guys and MC gets off on that, and ends up sitting in the chair. Tbh, it looks like the dev confused Miles and Sam here, b/c within the context of what he wrote before and after it and of what is happening in the game - it makes much more sense that the player gets to choose whether Sam knows that Claire is married or not and whether he knows that Claire and Miles have this cuckolding play. So if Claire tells him that she is married but doesn't tell him about the cuckolding play they have with Miles, he will think that Claire is cheating on Miles, but Miles will know everything. Like, this just makes more sense within the context of the phrase, of what he said to me, and of the fact that Miles already knows about Sam.

It is entirely up to the player whether they choose to remain faithful, be open and honest, or explore consensual sharing dynamics.

We designed the game with a conscious focus on choice-driven storytelling. Just like in real life, situations arise — and it’s the individual who decides how to respond. While ALWL is clearly an AVN and not a simulation of real life, we wanted to ground it in a sense of realism that makes player decisions feel meaningful and relatable.

Regarding the swinging path: yes, the setting involves a swinging environment, and that premise is central to that storyline. However, even within this setup, players still retain control over who they engage with and how they proceed as a couple.

At its core, ALWL is about agency, consent, and choice — not forcing any single narrative on the player.

For the record, I'm a big fan of the game in general. As someone interested in the open relationship aspect, I simply dislike not having the option. And since you brought it up, I do not have agency in this regard, unless things have changed there is only one woman you can potentially get permission for as an option. I understand what the game is going for and respect it, but it can be frustrating with how I'd like things to go.

And everyone who has played knows the character I want to get with that the game provides no mechanism to be honest about unless the game has changed.

Edit: Correction: there are at least two women you can get permission for. Also, admittedly I may be ignorant that certain earlier choices may have locked me out of what I want.

Anyway, I plan to do a whole new playthrough once the new version is released.

I've now come across 3 NTS games (falsely tagged as netorare apparently) that similarly open with a flashforward of the husband enjoying the sight of his wife getting rammed by other guys before going back to the beginning of the story of how they got into "the lifestyle" (Tales Of Love, Angst, Thot On Trial, ).

Does anyone actually like that setup? Doesn't spoiling the ending where the wife is already slutting out with other dudes completely kill any anticipation, any buildup or tease for the first time she does it - ruining what ought to be the moneyshot for these stories?

I played Thot On Trial - it's NTR through and through. You have a choice for the MMC to develop a cuck fetish but anyway she first cheats on him and will cheat a few times more. Same with the husband, I didn't play it that long to reach the moment, but I read that he will cheat and you won't be able to say no. Generally, I'd say both the MMC and FMC are quite unlikable, they behave like psychologically juvenile teenagers rather than grown up people and generally quite hysterical. I didn't like this game at all. I could enjoy an NTR game if one partner is obnoxious and gets cheated on for that, but when both are - well, I'll pass. The only interesting character there is the MMC's mistress (Anna IIRC).

A great example, although not long enough, would be Long Story Short: there is a hilarious scene where you've been rejecting Anne the entire game but she tries to manipulate you into giving you a blowjob while you're getting with her friend. You can straight up be like "uh yea, I'm not doing this if you're going to be involved (not nearly as vicious)" and both women are like "uhhhhh....okay" and then you just straight up leave. It was hilarious.

I was thinking because other games, you can usually cut off the path entirely and no one ever really mentions it, or you can soft-reject someone, but they'll still end up being a LI regardless of anything you do. I have not played any games that put that much though into choices like that tho it would be fun. interesting though for sure if anything I could keep this in mind as when I make my own NTS Doujin I may keep funny interactions like that in mind.
