I really love the art and i really love Samara, not to speak of the awesome story (That we basically were told already).
But, and i thought long and hard about that, i can't get myself to play this game because of this Huge, gaping asshole MC.

Okay my thoughts so far, mc is an arsehole but I guess that makes it interesting.
The artist seems to really like the word “delicious” (& I don’t get it, it kinda bugged me how often that word popped up). Like I’m sure there were better alternatives than that word.
As for Samara....well....to be honest I like her. I find her eyes mesmerising. Like deep pools, once I stare into them I don’t wanna/can’t break my concentration, truly satisfying to look at.
Just one thing, chapter 1 seemed a little short for the amount of time supposedly put into it. I sorta get it if most of the time was spent composing the music (‘cos the music tracks & sound effects were pretty great to be honest) but still. Or is it that I’m just playing a demo version, like does it end for everyone else when the MC goes upstairs & gives Samara that thin naff blanket or is it just me? (Cunt move by the way, he could’ve at least let her sleep on that sofa in the study).
Aside from my few complaints, all in all I have high hopes for this game. Should make for an entertaining story once finished.

I really hope she bites his **** up and pull it in his mouth. Nothing less he deserves. That would made my day.
I feel it is too early in this game's development to give a full review, but I do see potential in it. Yes, the MC is an asshole and as far as I am concerned he deserves all the hopefully bad shit coming for him. My guess is that Samara is there to play into the MC's fantasies and lull him into a false sense of security, then the other entity will come in for revenge for all the girls he abused and murdered in his life. Samara and the other entity may be one and the same, but I feel like they are two separate entities, but I definitely believe they are both spirits. Of course this is all speculation, but I do hope that it has some shred of truth.
Speaking of Samara and the fact that I believe she is a spirit, I do find it strange that he does not comment on her blue skin. It's just weird the MC doesn't say anything about it, besides mentioning that she is cold, but maybe Erkerut didn't want to worry about it. However, in saying that, Samara does look great, and if I am being honest, I do love her blue skin.
Also, I know he is the villian of this story, but he is a hyper paranoid, sullen, asshole, that has a weird confidence about him that clashes with other parts of his personality. I know this should make him feel complex, but it does come across as insufferable and annoying at times. It does seem that he sees himself the victim, despite the whole power control aspect of his personality. Kudos to Erkerut, because I really want to see this guy get taken down.
The last thing I will say is that the background art was good, the music was great, and the other entity did give some true horror aspects to this game. She made not only the MC, but myself, on edge a couple of times, especially when she showed up at the window. Those moments I truly did appreciate. Alright, that's all I've gotta say for now.

I did not get it. My guess is that it has not been implemented yet and may show up in later chapters.

This is without a doubt the worst MC I've ever seen in a game like this. The absolute worst! What a way to ruin your game with this piece of shit, seriously.
Everything else in the game had so much potential and was great, until the girl knocks at the MC's door and you realize how much of a cunt he is. That was so unnecessary and we need good MC characters to make a VN work, especially one that doesn't have a lot of scenes.
I loved the art, tone and music, they are great. But the MC ruined this game for me. He's simply unredeemable and the only way to make this game worth a damn, is by removing him and starting from scratch. What a fucking waste of time.

Okay but y’all keep avoiding the initial question of “Is this the full chapter 1 or just part of it?”. About 5 different people have asked this now.

It took you until his treatment of Samara to make you realize that the MC is irredeemable, and not the fact that he almost outright stated that he kidnapped and murdered women (The game implies that he's a serial killer)?
Regardless of our personal preferences, this is still a horror/porn game, with with an emphasis in horror in this demo. The MC being an irredeemable piece of shit likely so the audience will want to see him get what's coming to him. The Samara here is based on the Samara from The Ring, who is a vengeful spirit.
It's likely that something bad will happen to the MC, and I don't think his personality ruins the potential that this game has.
I agree. In my eyes, and hopefully the dev's as well, he is the villain of this story and I think that Samara and the other spirit are going to exact vengeance upon the MC. What will be interesting is to see how this will be done and possibly how the MC will try to thwart it. In the end, I do hope that Samara and the other spirit succeed in giving this piece of shit what he deserves. In saying that, it definitely not a game for everybody because of the content. Also, the dialog is still rough around the edges and I hope that gets better over time. But ultimately, the potential of this is what intrigues me and I am curious to see where this goes.
