Seems like they only started working on it some months ago, so if you guess a normal development cycle (so around 8 months) for it... we are gonna get it on october-november.
They started really working on this update in march/april and that's why it won't be ready until october/november. Mark my words.
Wow, impressive how people actually predicted this in such an accurate way

Which one of my conspiracy theories is good:

1) It was never a husband and wife team, that was just a marketing ploy. It's one guy.

2) It was a husband and wife team but they resumed their teaching jobs for financial security, so now only work after school, weekends, and breaks.

3) The husband (writer and coder) died, and now the wife is trying to do everything on her own and learn to code. She doesn't want to alert patrons because she knows her income to feed her baby would go down if she did.

Yeah, that guy was sharp. No game takes more than 10 months for an update, even the 2d games. Snowstorm, New Antioch, Aurelia, all this games took less than 8 months for huge updates. Even WaL and Summertime Saga were like that at the beggining.

over two years and counting.
It's like those stories where people stop showing up to work for 18 years but still get paid. Sometimes you gotta work hard to make your dreams (of doing nothing and making money) come true

4) The wife left the husband because he was always pestering her for erotic art while she's trying to feed the new baby and now he has to draw everything himself.

If you think 2) it's a valid reason to explain the delay, then consider both of them got a new full-time unpaid job (with some extra hours added on top of that) when their child was born back in October 2022, which won't let them work as many hours on the game as before. Because that's exactly what they've been explaining for the last couple of years.

Considering this thread was started on the 1st of May 2020 and the 0.6 update was released at the end of July 2022. Then we're not far off the 0.7 release taking more time then all the other releases combined. Taking care of a kid takes a lot of work but it doesn't explain why this release has been so bad.
