Just finished and while I enjoyed it, it became stale having an entire update (hours of playtime) revolve around one character. The main storyline needs to progress along with the characters. I don't see myself playing 0.7. I'll come back when there's more main story content because I don't feel like this is the way the game should be played.

Most digital 2D artists these days will pose 3D models and use them as references. I'd be surprised if Chestnut didn't use this technique too. They wouldn't be full renders though, just mannequins to help get the anatomy right with the different poses and angles.
Using a 3D model for reference isn't the same thing as using Daz or Unity or whatever to make/draw the character for this game. Next thing to debate will devolve into whether or not we can actually call this "hand-drawn" since they used a tablet or something and not paper

You had the entirety of 0.5 for main story

Quite aware. Playing update to update to me just isn't realistic if the main story doesn't progress. I don't want to spend hours focusing on one person. It's boring. The next update is another character so who knows when they'll pick back up on the main story. This games going on the back burner for a few years.

YO WHAT THE FUCK. JUST WHEN I THOUGHT SHIT CAN'T GO ANY BETTER.
Remember: There'll almost certainly be an actual Angel Waifu waiting for us in Floatown. If you're into halos.

They can a poll on this, and patrons voted for this style of update. I get your frustration (I am sad that we will get no Mommy Milky until she finally gets her own dedicated update), but the other way is also frustrating, where you only progress a little bit with each girl every update and it feels like the game is teasing you.

Would anyone mind directing me in how to move my save from v0.5.01 to v.06? Is it as simple as just moving my actual save file over from the unzipped file locations? I was previously told that Ren'Py has a unified save system for games of the same build, so when I updated Corrupted Kingdoms it just pulled my saves from my previous version automatically. Is that correct for this game as well?

Thanks in advance.

Most Ren'Py games save data in 2 locations:
1. Game Folder\game\saves
2. C:\\Users\*username\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Game Folder\

Think this game only uses location No. 1.
So you need to keep your saves folder & copy it from the previous, to the current Game Folder\game\ when you unzip the update. (y)

Yes, your save is buried somewhere in /appdata/roaming with a wonky folder name. Unless you go out of your way to find and delete it, you should be safe with just loading 0.6 and your stuff should still be there

Couldn't see any folder in Roaming, that wasn't related to a specific game.
Had one called "persistent", which weirdly contained the end of chapter saves for both Ataegina & Rebirth.
But couldn't see anything else that didn't match a game title.

Unless it's called "Inventory02"?
The persistent file is where all the settings are saved for ren'py games. Sometimes the gallery too..
Usually, that is in the save folder though.

Weirdly, mine's not a file, it's a folder.

These are the only 2 games I play, which have split into separate Chapters & created a specific save at the very end of your chapter, which doesn't go in your manual save files.
I'm guessing these are to do with that.

Anyway, gone OT, sorry. (y)

on second thought, this could also be a default folder or just a way to allow for discretion. imagine sharing a pc and just wanting to bust a quick nut without hiding your shit.

i just looked through my folders and there are 4385234058 saves for games i already thought i uninstalled. now i dont share a pc personally, but i can see where thatd be handy
