It disappeared after patrons voted for larger updates that made that goal impossible to reach.

Less than 2 months, actually. I don't know why people keep guesstimating when we already have an official deadline.

No? This is the first deadline set since the 0.3 update. Back in April they finished the planned work for this 0.7 update (the 'content' bars in the progress tracker reached 100% except for 2 minor coding tasks for the in-game gallery) and started the polishing phase as usual. The difference is that, in previous updates, this phase didn't take more than a couple of months, but this time they felt some parts of the content were subpar and needed some serious rework. But they never shared any deadline, only stating that the polish phase would take even longer this time.

No, what they said is that the last time they gave a release date (back in 0.3) things didn't go as planned because they missed the first one and then had to cut out some parts to meet the subsequent deadline. That's why he was reluctant to give a deadline now. But this is the first deadline ever announced since 2020.

There was once a point, where they already talked about A Few Months™ more (left?). That is also 6 months ago. But to be fair it's an indefinite amount.

TBH these "abandoned" threads should just be locked till devs release update, instead of allowing some shills to keep saying that the mystical magical super giant long update is being worked on and will release soon(tm)
