I don't normally play visual novels like this, but I'm glad I made an exception for this one! This is a genuinely amazing game! On par with Eternum if you ask me! The art is great, the humor is great, the music is incredible, the story is interesting, the lewd scenes are great, and the characters are done VERY well!! This includes our main boy, Lassie. He's a really well done protagonist, which is isn't something every visual novel can say.
That's all for now. I'll write a much longer and more detailed review once I actually finish the game. I only started it a couple days ago, but I wanted to show support by reviewing it now! Keep it up, guys! You're doing great!

does this game switch in between abandoned and not because of length of time between updates?

It was only abandoned per forum rules during the last dev cycle. The latest update was an exception, as it took them 2 years because they had a baby (and made some mistakes that forced them to redo quite a few scenes). We can expect the new release by the end of this year. So yeah, there's a long time between updates ever since patrons chose to get a whole character arc per update, and it was tagged as abandoned once due to this - but it was never actually abandoned.
