that's why I never support them. Once they get enough patreons, they have no incentive to keep working on it.
LOL....wow. Usually it is the other way around. Games don't get support because of pirate sites like this one....dev gets frustrated and abandons the project due to lack of support/financial gain...but go ahead and keep deluding yourself by thinking you are doing them favors.

It's not as simple as that. Do developers lose out on potential revenue? Probably, but many games wouldn't have nearly the exposure and probably wouldn't even have gotten off the ground if it weren't for this site.

Absolute bullshit. Unity games can track individual users/players of games and I've been involved with my fair share of devs that can point to actual data compared to their patreon support level. The supposed "conversion" rate is comical. Threads with millions of views....devs with less than 500-1000 supporters...with 50-100k and more people downloading the updates.

You will always find the antidotal case of a poster giving the dev $1....but that is by far the minority. But yes.....god forbid the visibility of players that will never provide a dime. LOL

EDIT: Also to add....since I see you've got PhillyGames in your sig....go ask ol Phil. He'll probably give you the polite Canadian answer, but, being around him extremely early on.....F95 didn't do jack shit for him...usually just demoralized him as he would see his game get leaked fast and then watch his patreon subsctiption momentum stop in its tracks. His three cases of him getting support bumps where 1) early DA days getting a cross promotion from Belle and another dev. This early influx saved his Patreon...or DA probably never gets finished. 2) Steam release of DA and later on COBD and 3) MxR Plays doing a youtube gameplay of Broken Dreamers.

Maybe you're right, I don't claim to be privy to information that would contradict you, but that begs the question: Why are you at the trough with all the other pigs? Are you arguing from a moral position and/or factual?

"Advertised" or they saw the thread and took the lessor of two evils and ultimately ownership of an uploader started thread? Seems like the latter....could be wrong though. LOL.

Weekly report 179

Hi everybody.
I hope you've had a great week. Here's a summary of what we've done since our last report:

Chestnut:
Our plan was for her to stay with the baby so that I could work both during the day and through the night and try to catch up with the story, and except for two days, during which she worked on cutscenes and created additional art -- a video from which you can see here -- she stuck to the plan. She's way ahead of me with the tasks done, so this plan works well for the overall release.

Pistachio:
It may not look like it if you view the progress tracker, but I have been advancing a lot with different dialogues, editing things, and posing more complicated scenes that I had been avoiding until now. I am a little over halfway done with the second quest, finishing things I had left from before and trying to reach the final, more action+sex-heavy part of the quest. There's still work left (plus both Chestnut and I will have a ton of edits/testing/debugging), but I can see the end after a very challenging development period, and that feels good.

Next week's plan:
Whether we continue our current schedule for the next week will depend on how well I do with my editing/posing tasks in the earlier days of the week. Either way, I'll be doing more posing, and when Chesnut returns to work, it would likely be to finish up cutscenes since I doubt I'd be reaching the next sex scene this week.

That's all.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers

P.S. I did get a message two days ago from one of our patrons about whether our future updates will take this long to develop as well or not, and I thought I'd post the response here as well, in case others have wondered the same.
The short answer is no, not very likely. Two factors have impacted the 0.7's development: our new baby and two hip-replacement operations I had in January.
About the baby, the first year is usually the most challenging period, which is thankfully over, and we don't plan on having more babies. So, although she will still have more difficult moments, it is unlikely that this factor will impact our future development to the extent it has for the current release.
About my leg, it has been improving gradually since my operations in January, and even though it seems like my problems are not completely over (I had to do an x-ray a few days ago because of old pains coming back), I'm taking as good care of it as I can to avoid more medical complications that would impact my work.
It's important to note, of course, that there are other non-IRL factors that can impact the development period (such as the amount and the complexity of the content, etc.), but now that 0.7 has taken this long, Chestnut and I are very keen to make sure this is a one-off thing.

I'm surprised no one has demanded the devs should sell all their babies and turn the man into Robocop to solve the pain problems.

The level of disgust I have for some people and their ongoing "children and pain are no excuses to slow down development speed" is about to leave the charts...

That's the funniest thing I read in a while. You're so cute an innocent. If you think the first year was challenging .. wait and see the next one when the kid starts crawling and destroys absolutely everything. All the parents are missing the baby's first year when it was soooo easy :))

Are there guides on how to transfer saves between PC and android? The files themselves are easy to locate but I'm getting errors when loading my android saves on the PC.

Well, they have some experience on the topic since this is their second child, so...

IMO

The second year is typically much harder when the child is awake, because it is capable of killing itself and doesn't understand why that's not a good idea.

But the first year is generally way worse when it comes to sleep patterns, spontaneous availability demands, and also recovery for the mother.

So basically, the point is that the first year takes a much larger toll on things that affect your ability to work. I agree that the second year is way worse for other things.

I have to say, I loved those first 10 years, of course the constant diaper change was horrible the first 2 years. But wait until they come into puberty, that's where my kids are now, always leaving everything behind them. Just cleaned the kitchen, half an hour before my wife comes home, one of them thinks I'm hungry, and it's like it hasn't been cleaned in a week. Everywhere she comes she leaves waste behind. How about dirty clothes and such. Terrible, you are not allowed to look in their room, but when you do everything on the ground, used sanitary pads on the table and such.

That all when me and my wife are some kind of clean freaks, it's looks like she does it deliberately.

I have to say if we could exchange them for a new born, we would do it in a heartbeat.

So lets hope this game is finished before puberty. Also because when they understand what there parents do for a living, it would be interesting how those conversations go. Not sure if they would really think, my parents are the best. There is always that period during adolescence where they think everything sex related is dirty.
