This discussion really reminds me of Best In Show.Hazelnuts, Brazilnuts, Pecannuts, macademia nuts, Walnuts...

Just imagine how fast the next update could be finished, if only we had Mixed nuts.
Well, considering that the current development cycle is what the Patrons chose, they clearly don't share your opinion.but I'd hope that at least the supporters can also see that the current development cycle of this game is incredibly unsustainable.
A year and a half into development and they're running polls on new mockups and sketches for Gomiras outfits. It's absurd. Reports like that show they are very, very far from an update.I read from his last report (all of them sound like this for me) - we did something, maybe, but lets pretend we did something so we have excuse to change some numbers around in the chart so at the end the grand total ends up 2-3% more than the previous one and shows "progress"
I think I've said this before, with their workflow, spending a month or two on planning alone would negate the need for constant "rewrites" and "redrawing" which is a giant time sink, and the chart says planning is done and writing is virtually complete, yet week after week there is constant rework...
so, yes, I think that chart is but a joke, and is there so some people can pretend to understand something and end up seeing "progress"
No the problem is that some people are. Anyone sitting here acting as if the thing they want the most attention on is what should be priority is just selfish and being asinine. It doesn't matter what you think is a niche preference, the point is it's a preference and a character in the story and thus they are going to get some love just like the other characters. Wait your turn.No the problem is not everyone is into tomboy/monster girls, it is a more niche preference. Before, when updates were often, I wouldn't have cared too much about it, but when it's the longest time ever since an update and it's for something you don't even care about? Now that's frustrating, and on top of that you have to think how long is it even going to be after that to get the next update you may care about. At this point I feel each chapter of FF7 remake gets done faster than this game's updates.
I was a donor through the fist couple of updates. Holly-Lana. I stopped pledging because I felt the cadence was too slow, but others don't feel the same way and that's fine.Oh please, most of them don't even donate, just complains there
But with this speed, we might be Q3/4 of 2024. It better be a huge update...View attachment 3220137
92.94% and the total keeps growing.
"With this speed" it went from being 91.5%, on 28th Dec, to being 92.2%, on 31st Dec.But with this speed, we might be Q3/4 of 2024. It better be a huge update...
Patrons chose to have updates done this way. Their opinion is obviously far more relevant and important, to the business, than that of pirates.I believe, if this update has taught us anything it's that magicnuts needs to plan how they release their future updates better.
After they've completed their initial planning and made an estimate on the amount of work required they should then make a call on if they should break their story into, 1 or more parts. While it's great getting a completed story arc. Waiting over a year is just bad project management in my opinion.
While I'm sure the Gomira update will be just as good as their earlier work. I think it would have been better managed if they had split the update in half and released a part 1 sometime around April to June. That way we'd be only waiting on the second half now rather then the full update.
Hi whichone, I taught you put me on your ignore list. Anyway I still think breaking an extra large update into 2 large updates is a better system then just continuing on, over a year with just a single update.Patrons chose to have updates done this way. Their opinion is obviously far more relevant and important, to the business, than that of pirates.
What you consider "bad project management", facts paint as being major events in their lives taking away large portions of the predicted available time - a new child & 2 operations will do that.
