I wonder how many of the complainers are actually supporting the dev financially. I mean no one forces you to pay, but if you do not spend a single penny, i think it is presumptuous to even speak badly.

Considering this thread was started on the 1st of May 2020 and the 0.6 update was released at the end of July 2022. Then we're not far off the 0.7 release taking more time then all the other releases combined. Taking care of a kid takes a lot of work but it doesn't explain why this release has been so bad.

I supported them for a few years. This updated did me in though. Over 2 years for a side character. That's fucking insane by any metric. I can understand how the problems they are having would set them back(e.g. new baby, back surgeries), but then again, most people that have these same problems still work a 9-5 and still deliver results at those same 9-5 jobs. Like, I'm not trying to suggest its all laziness to blame, but I definitely think its a contributing factor. I think the devs suffer from some unholy combination of laziness, perfectionism, and a tendency for narrative bloat, with some genuine personal misfortune mixed in for good measure.

Having a child not only made them work way fewer hours, but it also changed their whole workflow (they started working on turns instead of together), and the new family duties made the quality of their work hours drop too since they were already tired when they finally got to work. They've been explaining this for months in their weekly reports that no one cares to share here anymore -it's basically why this polish phase has become a major revamp of a lackluster first draft. Add this to the larger update so far, with a whole backstory and orc-lore to tell, new locations to develop, and a more action-packed narrative and visuals, and they got caught themselves in a perfect shitstorm. But, no matter our opinions about the process, for the first time since 0.3 we finally got a proper release date set, so I think it's pointless to keep going in circles about it and we'd be better off just waiting until the update is out at last.
I think ppl like you forget that its not the dev's private discord server, but a public PIRATE forum. I also wonder how many ppl that praise the game actually support it, despite knowing that its on a 2+year development time.

I was a patron for a long time. It was really one of my favorite games on the site. But I unsubscribed a while back after I added up how much I was going to end up paying for an update about a side character I wasn't really interested in to begin with.
Guys, it's almost done. The game is free and I doubt that everyone above is on patreon funding it (me first). So, I would say to wait calmly and without rushing. The update is big, so there will definitely be more stuff. Also, someone up here is supposed to be a parent, so I guess you know that caring for a newborn isn't easy.

Then we can judge for ourselves if the wait was worth it or not.

To be honest, I don't pay, so me getting it for free, I won't complain about it. I don't know the real situation of their irl things, however I'm more in the middle of things, I feel bad for those whom are actually paying through the months or years without being given an update.
On the other hand, I am getting this for free, so I'm not salty that it hasn't been updated frequently, because I'm not a paying costumer.
However, I'm also hoping that it will be updated because no matter how people may feel about the entire situation, the artwork is absolutely Top-Tier.
The women in here are breathtakingly attractive, Myrtle is basically the first female you can really do anything, and she's arguably the best imo. I'm still hoping to be able to get my hands on Simmone sometime in the future. "Hopefully" a pregnancy option would be nice too, marriage, or harem would be epic.
Again, with an actual time table that we can see now, let's hope this is a banger when it finally gets released. Hopefully by the end of this year in 2024, but more than likely, early 2025.

People complain when they see something they don't like. It's human nature, and it's legitimate.

This game's development has been smelling like shit for over a year...
The next update (0.7) is coming the last week of November, 2024. It was announced in a Patreon post on Sep. 27. So not that much longer to wait.
Of course no one cares, as it's a crock of bullshit. You're listing off a bunch of excuses peddled by scam artists.
