The games that come closest to reality are the Sono/Kiss for Petals series.

Forever Ink I guess is another. Woman works as a tattoo artist and either dates her boss or a girl she meets. So far that's been pretty realistic. It's deff something I could see happen.

City of Broken Dreamers have some very good animations and renders

but for me i like skyrim SE
with mods to make it look very good

also you can make skyrim a sex game if you like there tons of mods for that

with a good body mod and 4k to 8k skin texture
and also with breast butt and belly phycics
and hdt vagina you get close to real life

not to mention good sex mods
you can let your fantasy go wild

but its alot of work to instal and test things out
and you need a very high end comp

i have a 8 gig ram gpu and even with all my 4k mods
so 200 i just hit so 50 fps in towns/cities

but if you have a lets say gtx 1080 ti you can make skyrim and all npc/player
and everything els very nice

thats what i said you can make skyrim a very nice sex game and looking good to
some modders can easy work ad a triple a game studio

but most dont want to and see it more as a hobby
but its stile mindblowing to make a old game look like a next gen game

It's not that real life is boring, it's just that we go to games for excitement. When I started my game I wanted it to be as realistic (or plausible) as possible. I think I'm doing a pretty good job - you have to balance realism with a certain dose of game/porn situations. So while girls aren't expected to throw themselves at the MC I still have to include situations which are a bit of a stretch since, hell, otherwise you might as well not play a game So, it's hard keeping it realistic yes but possible I think (I'd appreciate thoughts on this from people who have played my game).

Hmm. Maybe the VN Melody from MR. Dots. I wouldn't call it realistic. But of all VNs/Games I have played, perhaps that was the most plausible one. The character development was slower than in other visual novels or games I have played, also it wasn't purely about sex. The main theme was helping Melody with her music career.

It's not so much that real life is boring, real life will be boring to an observer most of the time. When you watch a film you see the exciting parts, not the conversations you wouldn't care about or the character sitting on their phone for 45 minutes.

As viewers we want the see the exciting bits.

Realism is a bit hard to pin down because everyone has their own definition of it. I've had girls throw themselves at me without even knowing each other, girls who liked me ignored me, and of course girls I've liked shoot me down quickly and painfully. I also know there are girls who are into things like incest, and those that might act on them in 100% safe (meaning no risk of anyone finding out) situations. However, most pessimistic people also realize there's almost 0 chance of there being that 100% safe situation, and even if something did happen, they'd deny it ever did. If you get to know enough people, a lot of the scenarios in porn games become plausible with the correctly constructed (and very flawed) characters.

The problem is that most authors do a VERY POOR job of building up their scenario to be realistic / plausible. A mom who lives alone with her teen son out in the woods, who has very little contact with outsiders, so otherwise spends all her time with that son, is someone who is a good candidate for letting her guard down and committing incestuous acts with her son vs a woman with a full time career, friends and relatives all over, and an active public life. A woman who is a nymphomaniac might not even consider incest to be a taboo (neither would NTR or BSDM, ect). She might go after whomever is hottest and easiest to attain in her life. She might commit these acts to her own detriment, and with little regard for the consequences, because that's the problem with nymphomaniacs. Go figure that she might lose her job, her husband, and be one of those people forced to the fringes of society.

Rather than build up these characters to the point that you might believe they make a mistake, or in the heat of passion commit an otherwise unbreakable taboo, authors sort of just assume that you'll believe that with enough harassment, mind control, or chemical influence (drugs, alcohol, sleeping pills) that they'll do whatever you want. And that the MC somehow crossing the finish line by cheating will make them more likely to do whatever the MC wants later.

I mean, the reality of it is most MC's in these games (especially those with incest or 'roommate') stuff would in real life end up dead or in jail for the shit they pull. Playing these games basically requires you to suspend reality or they'd never make any sense.
