What is your favorite path/theme in porn games? Poll.

I have started writing a script for a porn game. I wanted to know peoples opinion on what their favorite or most often chosen path is in porn games. I'm making it 2 votes per person because you might be torn. I checked the General discussions back pretty far and didn't see this question asked. If I am in error, please let me know so I can either delete or move this thread. So, without further ado.

Romance is what I generally look for when on the hunt for games.

Romance and/or RPG's are what I play. I avoid corruption/blackmail games like the plague. Just like a lot of blokes don't like playing beta cucks I hate playing moronic cum dumps.

I play romance routes in games. seduction is usually a part of those routes too. I may or may not have a save for the corruption route too, dependent on how "dark" that route is. I typically avoid the darker blackmail, corruption or domination style routes/games.

Mind control is a bit of a gray area. It can either be "light" or "dark" depending on how its written. So i'll give those a try and see how it is and if the story is good or not.

I guess I'd want to know what distinction or difference people see in Romance vs Seduction. To me romance carries more of an element of honesty--you have sincere feelings for the person, you aren't lying to them, if there is a love triangle or quadrangle, you "stumbled" into it accidentally or unintentionally.
Seduction can be ethical or unethical, on the other hand. Deception and guile can be part of it, and seducers can be manipulative, though perhaps their manipulation is not as severe as that of corruptors.
Corruption implies deflowering virgins and drawing relatively virtuous characters into ever deeper wells of depravity. They get drawn past multiple red lines until their new morality is nothing like the old one. They are controlled entirely by their passions(and the protagonist), and pursue them without restraint.
Mind Control suggests the accomplishment of seduction and/or corruption via some "miraculous" means(telepathy, cinematic hypnotism, subliminal programming, nanobots, magic spells or items, etc.). Control is eventually refined and completed until the subject's mind is putty in your hands while their body is your eager plaything.
Blackmail is effectively rape via other means of coercion. They don't want to have sex, but if they don't, even worse will happen to them. So they go along. Sometimes, in the process, they discover that they like it...

What is your story about that you're basing your game on? Go with that. If your story is one of the things on your list, and the vote goes a different way, can you even twist the story around to make it into something else without destroying it?

Asking other people "what should my story be about" implies a blank canvas.
If your story is about a vampire, who is he or she going to blackmail? see what I mean?
Can you turn your hero character into an asshole so easily? Would you enjoy making your prince charming into a corrupter?
I like all of the categories, but that doesn't mean they all work with the story that you have to tell.

If you don't have a story yet, and you're starting from scratch, there are probably 200 posts on this forum begging for more romance and seduction. But only you know what you want to make, and that's what I like best. When you tell the story, the way that you like it, the way that it means something to you, and you enjoy writing it, from the heart..

It's why I prefer the term "depravity" or the phrase "descent into depravity". Corruption normally refers to a kind of graft that happens with public officials. "Corruption of a minor" is the only time it tends to refer to sexual corruption in normal usage. But depravity is straight to the point, no ambiguity.

Depends on the girl, I usually prefer the more romance focused routes provided I actually care for the lady in question, if not I might as well go for corruption. And by corruption I mean letting her have a go with the whole neighborhood and their dogs.

To be honest, I'm not sure the votes will change my story. As you said, not all of those categories would fit well into the genre I am planning to write. I've played and enjoyed almost every one of those genres and will probably include a few different ones. But if something forces me to constrain (Time/Money/Skill) to only two versus three or more options, the vote might help me decide what options are more appealing to others. (Since I enjoy them all) I was just hoping more information would allow me to think more creatively.

I admit I didn't think romance would be first overall. (So far)

I didn't mean to push romance on you. The requests on here are essentially complaints that most of the games are focused on the mechanics. Step one, step two, sex. And the players are like, if it were that easy IRL how come i don't have a girlfriend.
Few games on here go through the romance stages. the cuddling snuggling hand-holding kissing lip-biting...
