My list made with VNs in mind:

• dream sex (usually used to insert sex early into a story before plot/relationships are developed)
• sleep molestation (same thing)
• lazy incest patching (change relationship title from "roommate" to "sister", the relationship is never commented on, never referenced beyond the title--with no actual context for any tension or preexisting relationship)
• linear sex progression (1 sex act per interaction, starting with petting and then elevating to anal over the course of 5-6 "progression" scenes that are spread out, like, A -> AB -> ABC -> ABCD -> ABCDE ... or A -> B -> C -> D -> E ...)
• extreme (IMO, anything even closely beyond "reasonably realistic") bimbo proportions of tits and asses
• MC written with the personality of an immature, horny school boy
• "sandbag MC", what I call an MC with zero / very little agency or participation in moving the plot or relationships forward--a character that is more of a prop or object being acted upon by other characters / events

When you download a game, thinking it'll be good based on the tags/description, but there's something, or lots of things, about it that turns you off immediately & you delete it. What is it?

Bad writing. That's one thing the screenshots, tags and description sometimes just don't indicate.

Spanglish or any other Badly translated/written work, you can have all the renders and story premise is the world but if my brain hurts trying to read it im removing it from my Hard drive.

• Too much talk that aren't fluid. I'm not even fluent in english so I don't really care about pure writing quality but if the pacing is really bad and what is tell boring I will probably drop it fast.
• When renders are like from a 2019 games and aren't on part with newer games, it's important for an AVN to look good imo. Or at least ok if the story is pretty good.
• When I don't like any (or only one) LI looks.
• Gay stuff, not homophobic it's just don't interest me.
• Games where most of the boobs are too big. Boobs are sexy when the shape is sexy, oversized boobs thats look like Star Wars Death Star looks horrible. Girls aren't credible with them. I do think that a lot of different size are needed for diversity and if one has boobs that doesn't even make sense it make the others less impressive even with big boobs because there is this other one that make them all look small.
• Most of koikatsu game, I've already see some of them making girls sexy, but a lot of them just can't grab me.
• Sci fi, tbh sci-fi is my favorite genre, but in AVN it's pretty rare that I like those settings, it does happen sometimes but most of them doesn't interest me. I'm talking mostly about space opera, not a futuristic or cyberpunk AVN.

When the grind and/or exposition/dialogue to sex ratio is ridiculous. If I wanted to click through 50 screens of dialogue and exposition I'd just watch a visual novel. If I wanted a long grind before any meaningful payoff I'd play Hearts of Iron or Stellaris.
Little glitchy things like using bad renders(part of clothing clipped out, e.g.).
Lack of creativity or innovation when it comes to using a stock scenario("high school/college age MC at home with "landlady" and 1-3 "roommates", goes to college/high school with hot classmates and teachers, has to achieve some random tasks including working a job, etc., takes approximately 3 months of game time before actually fucking anyone(so that dev can milk patrons as long as possible)"

I would agree here to an extent. The thing about music for example is that it is so subjective. I have seen people right comments in videos about music simply because they do not like the genre of music even though the music did fit with the scene.

After reading most of the lists of "turn offs" I feel compelled to say for game engine and modeling software points "But there was that one game that did it well." I absolutely agree with quite a few other points...like sleep sex for instance...it's just so lazy.

Oh yeah, when I play H-games I want a "proof of concept" of the lewd aspect of the game ideally within the first few minutes. Just an idea of what kind of corruption I can expect.
