people don't seem to like the 2017 movie's leads.
Yeah, I just couldn't take Dane Dehaan seriously as Valérien in the movie, because, to me, he looked like he was 15 years old, and it made all the serious "I'm a professional" scenes feel like watching a kid dress up for Halloween. Now, after watching it, I found out the actor was 30 years old (!!) in this movie, but the guy doesn't look like it. Not his fault, (his acting was fine), but he didn't have the physicality or presence to sell the role to me.Yes, I mean the character Valérien from the comic, but in my case
it's about the choice of actors for the film. I didn't think he was suitable.
As a little comparison - comic vs movie:

I'm not a fan of grinding in sandboxes, but I can enjoy it if it is done well. A personal pet peeve of mine is when the dev knows a player is going to have to do an action or scene many times, multiple times, and they don't put in any variety to the scene so that there is at least SOME variation when the player repeats it. It doesn't have to be much, just a few unique variations that have a chance to pop-up from time to time in place of the generic one.
It boggles my mind when even text-based games don't do this. Like, "This event is always two sentences. You couldn't be bothered to type a handful more to show up every once in a while to break the monotony?"
