Katie and her Lei have like 17 personalities between them...so you can pick your favourite ones....cos...why wouldn't you pick either...
Let's be real looking at this game narrative without the family aspect is detrimental to understanding the real narrative of the story, so yea understandably without it you'd be missing some critical connections that make the story more sensible.
I get where you come from, but yea its obvious that Ocean is writing this story based on the family narrative so understanding the dynamics between characters pretty much depend on it, sure its even under that premise pretty weird, you know with all the incestuous stuff related to it.
For example why would the relationship between the MC and Leia be a problem if they are merely childhood friends? No problem there logically, the fact that it was an issue can only be understood under the premise they are twins and thus is taboo for them to be involved together.
Similarly why would he'd been forced to be in a close relationship with Katie if she isn't his sister, so the family dynamics with Helen favoring him and his relationship with Leia and Katie being basically jealous and trying to push in only really make sense under a familial setting. Because you can chose your friends, but you can't choose your family, so the only reason that him and Leia would have to deal with Katie is if their is a familial context to the story.

Yeah i usually never play with incest-patches and prefer to go along with a landlady and roommate in avn's like that even if it sounds stupid at times but in wiab/sg its just on another level.
Playing wiab without the incest patch actually breaks my immersion as everything is nonsensical.
After i played wiab for the first time back than i didnt even realized that dylan is supposed to be willys dad and that leia is his twin (thought sister). And i had no clue how katarina and her partens are related to the Zane's.
And as you said, the whole big plot why willy left lacks any logic without the patch.
I did everything which is written here except I didn't deny the bj in chapter 1. But still I should have enough Miru horny points (3 for the pool bj + 2 for denying gym sex + 2 for fingering her) to have no problem with the bathroom scene with the krayt member. But it always crashes down after clicking continue. Can anyone help?
Edit: Ok I got it now, I think the problem was the Walkthough mod, because without it I had no problem.

Can someone please update the i-patch on Lewdpatcher (or link to a separate in OP) with the fixed version from GetOutOfMyLab? Everyone is running into the jump typo of the patch, and the official link still points to the buggy version...
I used to like this game the first couple of years it was out, but fuck me this re-write has really soured me on it. Basically everyone in it is a terrible person and it's almost played for laughs.
makes it pretty much impossible to like most of the main characters, and Leia was an utterly unlikeable sociopath to begin with. Not sure I'll stick with it.

Especially Leia...think he is having selective memory issues. Only Dana was perhaps a decent person.

Yeah, but If I recall correctly fairly harmless assholes by comparison and there seemed to be at least a semblance of self-awareness. There just seems to be a blasé joking callousness now which is very off-putting. And that's before we get to the plot issues;

Yeah the plot is very... unusual. Its like a goofy sitcom sometimes with how ridiculous things are. But I don't mind tbh. I find it fun which is the most important part.
Well frankly prostitution is the world's oldest profession, so being bothered by that is being prudish, so long as its consentual, who are you to tell someone in dire need for money what they are allowed to do to earn said money, unless you are willing to provide for said people, which is clearly not the case for most of the populace, you don't get to complain about it, as for drugs, exactly the same, drugs have been consumed for thousands of years, unless you are talking about the overly artificial or chemical lethal crap, well its no biggies.
As for the characters, the MC spent time in prison, that would strip alot of naivety out of him in term of illegal stuff, Miru is if you played the original clearly meant to be related to the some Yakuza, and the rest of the MCs family in this version are involved to some degree, so its no wonder they aren't fussing over it. Most of the characters already know about it, either were involved in equal or worst, otherwise either already exposed to the criminal aspects of life.
Oh sweet sweet summer child, that is the least unrealistic aspect of the entire matter, also its clearly not publicly known that the Zane are involved in drugs, and Monica isn't involved with Leia, which would be the most questionable person there in term of criminality, also it seem Leia is likely running officially an escort service, not prostitution, and escorts are perfectly legal, but yea you think criminals don't have lawyers? Please, they have some of the best lawyers, also you think they don't have contacts in the cops? Again, organized crime tend to have a fair degree of legal cover, so long as they don't make things problematic for those of a legal leaning and give them their due under the table, they don't care.
