Love attention to detail. Ocean may take his time but visual detail is outstanding. Look at the back wall Helens shadow shows exactly how she is standing clearly.

So I usually wait until I've completed the current release before commenting; or at least as far as I can get.
I have barely started the game and I have to say: these are the BEST visuals and animations I have ever seen in a game like this - period. The models are absolutely stunning, and the little touches - the lightning in the background, the falling raindrops, the ground fog caused by rain on sun-warmed earth - just amazing.

Unlikely to be too soon. The best guesstimate of progress based on the numbers Ocean published (in the last devlog compared to the daily render count he posted in another devlog, and the total Ocean once mentioned somewhere) is yossa's post here.
Ocean had 2600 static renders of the total update done at the last devlog, which means around 900 more to do based on what he anticipated a while ago, plus animations, postwork and Steam shenanigans. So I can't see it realistically happing before the end of the year. However, we really don't know how fast he's doing things, whether he gets inspired to focus more on getting this out as clost to the end of the years as he can or what. I just wouldn't hold my breath, because I don't like having a blue face.
OCean has been known to blow out render count by getting excited and rendering more scenes than planned, he'll probably get fussy with the cinematics/animations for Steam previews as he really needs to get WiaB supporting itself in it's own right after patreon nuked WiaB's page. There's reasons for Ocean to get the update out yesterday, and there's reasons it'll take longer.
Don't let people's excitement and desire to have an update lead you to thinking one is imminent. As keen and hopeful as I am, Ocean hasn't mentioned a release date or uploading to steam or anything like that, so it's not close. He wants people to know because he wants people to buy into the early access on steam. We'll know at least a month before it's ready for Steam early access launch.

Want my gf pornstar route, I don't think I've ever played a game where MC dates pornstar. Last I read in the game they said that she would first start with some photoshoots so I may yet be blueballed from this, but I'll take what I can get. This game is obviously of great quality, but the developement schedule makes me wonder if I'll be around to witness it flourish...
