I can relate. I did something similar back when I was a kid. We had a few ruins in our woodlands which were fun to adventure through, though the underground icehouse was creepy as anything

It became a travel destination for folks in our age group. Hilarious seeing a group of 20-30 teenage kids freaking out over every little sound when they're exploring.

I agree with Turret, though - I want to know what was actually carved into the tree. I imagine it being something simple and stupid, like a W+L or whatever, but it would be interesting if it were something more, like actual dates or a message. I would be thrilled beyond imagining if I were able to find some evidence of my happier youthful times like that.

Our biggest forest "playground" were the ruins of our city´s castle and walls. In the times of helicopter parents unthinkable, I am glad to have lived through the older times. The Eighties were not better, that is mostly hindsight, but it was a great time to be a child and teenager.
As for what the Twins carved into the tree, I agree it is most probably something simple, stupid or mushy. But then again, it can be more elaborate considering how important this place is to both Willi and Leia. Leia came to the place when she called Willi and Willi´s memories we saw and him staying a night there, it is a powerful place for them.
I am curious when Miru will see that tree and when the twins return there together (if you play towards reconciliation with Leia). While she might suspect it already, if Miru ever comes to this place, it must become obvious to her who the girl Willi loved back then was.

Well I think you all can count yourselves lucky to have been growing up at this time. I grew up at the time when the internet and smartphones were just gaining popularity, it was a bit of a shame to see how every year many of the activities you thought of as normal became less and less common.
Today it's even worse when I look at my nephews, they all have a tv and smartphones in their room\pockets, even though they are under ten years old.

I enjoyed it when the old Miru was being unfaithful to the MC, but that's because I didn't like her as the primary LI. I'm still pro-Katie, though, and I don't like the artificial chastity that so many games force on a femme that isn't being fucked by the MC. Seeing Miru out having a blast with somebody else is perfectly fine with me, same for Leia and anybody else. It's not NTR if they aren't my LI. Bang away, ladies!

And she doesn't strike me as needing that kind of behaviour. In the old version of the game, Leia was obscene rich, so if we assume the same for the new version, it makes even less sense.

Well, Leia is very much the Ice Queen and I'd suspect that she'd use sex as a weapon or a means to manipulate people to get what she wants.

You misunderstood me, I meant that she must be able to identify with her partner and see him as "worthy", not materially, she really doesn't need it.

From a visual point of view? Nope! Chapter 6 may be more apealing for the eye, but the rest is, how should I put it...
... interesting to see the visual evolution of the game.

Stroywise, hmm... Ocean said, that after Chapter 2 from the reworked will be anything diffrent. But maybe you can get a little more background lore from the old game to connect some dots fast in the new version.

I would say try it out. It's not like you'll be any stupider afterwards than you were before.

I love a woman with a bit of color to her skin, so the new Katie isn't displeasing to the eye, but it was OG Katie that I fell in love with, and I miss her, even though they are still quite similar, I feel the original was superior. Most of the new models/renders are notable in their improvements, however.

This is a very subjective thing obviously but for me in particular, new Katie is just objectively the hottest girl on the playground right now. I didn't particularly care for the hair change from long and flowing to shorter with braids but eh, can't have everything.
Character wise she was more likeable in the original story but I feel like that goes for a whole lot of characters in the game so I'll just wait and see what Oceans plans turn out to be.

I must admit, that I had with - the quoted part from you - the old Miru (yeah I know , some disagree with me, but in my opinion new Miru is superior to the old one in both, character and visually) and the game from Chapter 1-5 in mind.

Chapter 6 is a other pair of shoes, I liked the the old Zoey and Dana more than the previews that Ocean has shown a couple of months ago. Well, I hope there is room for some changes for Dana because she has no clear appearance in the game till now - besides the cinematic when the game starts.
