thanks, I didn't play the original version and now it makes more sense. I was pretty sure about William and Leia's relationship, but not 100%.
Honestly, there's not much logic in leaving. You love her, she loves you. That's it. No one leaves like that to go somewhere without the girl they love in that situation. Yes, it's a sister, but you can deal with the issue somehow, the parents don't seem like some kind of tyrants. You could put the relationship on pause and stuff but see her every day.

Although maybe he changed his mind after a some short time and decided to come back, but he got locked up for something. Maybe he was emotional and did some crazy things to forget his sister.

in dialogue with Katie he mentions she also threatened to tell someone else besides their parents and that would be a problem, so that's why he left. for prison, there was an explanation before rework, guess we have to wait until he talks to Leia in the next update to see if it's the same or not

what happened before rework is his ex framed him for stealing her stuff and police caught him when he was about to get on a train to return home, he also had a fake ID and didn't tell his name. Miru was arrested for a fight on the same day and they met at the police station

Reading some of the comments here, you'd think Katie appears sitting on a fluffy cloud with angel wings. In the old WiAB it was very clear she only acts like a bitch as a defense mechanism, and all of those flashbacks later on reinforced that idea. Old wiab was also very clear that while Katie was a bitch and wasn't a saint, she was bullied and abused by leia and mc. Unless you insist on antagonizing her ( and I do hope that option will be here as well) The game is and was very clear in it's pro Katie stance. Now the mc clearly says Katie is just as bad as Leia, and just plays innocent. Now we will have to wait and see if the game follows through and shows us what exactly did she do. But some of you chose to ignore it outright and claim she'll be a saint. I also think it was weird how in the old Wiab everyone got over the fact that the mc left very quickly, which you could say is justified due to the time passed, but I absolutely don't think someone like leia who lost her best friend and a partner should get over it quickly.
It's a shame that Leia's criminal activities that involve many members of the family is so openly discovered, that I don't really like. And Also Dana's model is just worse compared to the old version.

Thanks, it's more or less cleared up. I guess I need to turn off logic more often and accept that everyone in games is emotional and impulsive, otherwise there will be no story.

Leia's upper lip has also changed (from ep1) to a more "typical Ocean's" lip shape and smile.
And she's also more tan. (i have pale-girls fetish)

Yeah, I can see it now. But you can actually change your lips shape in a similar way by tensing some face muscles or whatever is in there near nostrils, so maybe it is just a facial expression or an emotion going on at a moment. As for the tan, lighting is a weird thing even IRL.

I see it differently, Willi left as a child - Leia didn't even have breasts from his memories, we see Leia as an anorexic child after he left. Willi would have no real understanding of all that was going on, having spent time in prison, unable to contact them. He doesn't know what Leia went through, he only know what he went through. So in my play through, I'm trying to make peace with everyone. Leia wants me to abuse a person from a broken relationship for ends that she won't even fully disclose, after sending Willi on wild goose chases for things she already knows the answer for. Willi's being pretty cautious, asking the right questions, but neither Leia or Katie want to help Helen more than they want to punish Willi. Leia's playing Willi to get her revenge on his betrayal while Monica tries to stay professional when what Willi did to Monica was far far worse. Willi ghosted his family which is bad, Leia wants him to corrupt people she bullied. Leia is a viper. I'm only going to react positively to her to see the drama, I'd normally keep my distance from anyone like that. Willi's telling her to fuck off, because she's trying to play everyone, and turn him into her lapdog.

Some of the dialogue is stilted though, Ocean really wants to push the idea that WIlli was an asshole across, even if you choose everything to make the peace.
