I realize it's QoL changes and not story progression (according to others, haven't played yet), but still - the rate of release is super impressive given this game and Ocean's reputation.
release 1 update every 2 years....this is normal...
release quick patches a few weeks after update wait WTF
I truly hope this because the new norm for this game, it's always had potental. On the off-chance Ocean reads these:
Keep up the good word, and get the camera out of your character's faces!
If you're anti-ntr the good news is this won't actually be in game for another 20 years so no problem.

First time playing after the rework, I like the older version - I didn't play much. And it has been quite sometime...

As for the timing... Well, I'll probably be too old and playing dominoes in a nursing house long before most of my favorite AVNs (and some TV series too) are finished. But that's okay, as long as they regularly release updates and keep me entertained, I'm in no rush to see the finale. And to be honest, what’s so interesting about the ending that it’s worth finishing a good story for the sake of it?

Saves from chapter 2 are not compatible? Again? Is this a trick to increase playtime with each reworked chapter? To play from the start each time?

It's pointed out because if wanking is a priority VNs are absolutely one of the least efficient things for it. It's porn that prioritizes story before tits so you can wank but it's a waste of time if it's mainly all you want. You are somehow managing to fap incorrectly.
I agree, the most fun of avns is the ride not the destination. And its not like the usual avn has super interresting storys with sick plots anyway, usually endings are few renders with your chosen LI or harem in a wedding dress or pregnant and a "they lived happyly ever after" statement.
And nothing is worse than avns with rushed endings, cutting their potential to be a better story. And wiab is more or less one big flashback anyway (not that i mind it).

This is the result of switching to the next major version of RenPy. As a user, I fully understand that this is a lousy excuse for not working saves. But from a developer's point of view, making saves made in different versions of the game engine compatible can be a very complex task, and the result is not worth the effort.Saves from chapter 2 are not compatible? It's so much more pleasant to see scenes in games where devs know how to frame shots, it just makes everything more enjoyable. It's like going from watching some no-name director action flick from 2018 that relies on jump cuts and shaky cams to a John McTiernan or Jan de Bont classic.
-edit2: LSS is a great example of a game you don't even think about shot framing, because it's all done well.

i played this for the first time at least 2 yrs ago. and the story hasn't moved a fucking inch since then. sure the game looks amazing..the girls are hot as fuck..but damn the story is boring as fuck after replaying from the start every fucking update to basically the same point as before. the only thing that keeps me playing this and the other game is how amazing the visuals are.

I think there to be at least some reasons for the events rather than just running out of sex positions causing the AVN to melt down and end. It's better this way.

But I won’t argue, maybe they just mixed up Ch2 and Ch3-beta, anyway, Ocean is damn careless with saves, he seems to hate coding and doesn’t think about the consequences of adding a variable to an already released chapter.
But we love him not for his exceptional coding skills
