I don't post in the game threads often (unless I am asking for assistance in what art assets were used). but here is my insignificant take on the girls in WTHI:
- Monica - Has a business that is struggling, has a start of a drinking problem, is jealous but not in the same way as Katie. Not someone I would see as a long term companion.
- Zarah - She reminds me of those 40 year old jocks that only want to talk about the 'glory days' and is trying to recapture her youth. It is very obvious if you took the time to talk to her rather than just fuck her that she is sad and lonely, almost desperate. For both Zarah and Monica the age difference will only compound issues moving forward.
- Katie - Sarcasm aside, it is hard to build a lasting relationship with someone that is a polar opposite (opposites only attract in magnets, not people). But deep down she uses the sarcasm to hide a lot of baggage.
- Jenna - Way too sneaky for my liking, she is a pretty little thing but eventually the neediness will overwhelm her and you will be cucked.
- Jolina - Never thought of her as more than a means to an end
- Natasha -She doesn't really have feelings for the MC, but she could be a nice little fuck buddy since the MC seems to be the only one that can fill the void in her sex life.
- Mabel - Why would anyone even consider her a love interest. She is only in two episodes and the first time you see her there is almost no interaction. If she will fuck you on demand, she will fuck almost anyone on demand.
- Theresa - Never stick your dick in crazy!
- Wanda & Angel - I put these two together because they both have the same goal, to become supermodels. Eventually they will leave you behind if that prevents them from getting to their goal.
- Bella - This one I haven't figured out quite yet. Dialog suggests she was your confidant/protector when you were little, she might actually have sincere feelings for the MC.
- Elaine - She might have started out as a golddigger, regardless her motives are very self-centric. She is maneuvering events to get the house, and I suspect all the money.
- Lily - Lily appears sweet and she is not dumb, she does know how to manipulate people by using both her personality and beauty to get what she wants. She could be the one you could end up with but I did not follow that particular path.
- Debbie - So far, her and Lily appear to be the only characters that have actually told you how they feel in an honest straightforward manner. You know where Debbie and by extension Lily stand with respect to the MC.
That is a very insightful take on each character. I have thought about the same thing, at length, much more than with other games. Here is my own take:
- Monica: She genuinely cares for the MC, and would be a good partner long term. However, the 20+ age gap will be an issue moving forward. Not necessarily insurmountable, but does bring extra challenges. However, I think she is likely to be devoted to the MC long term.
- Zarah: I have warmed up to her from the beginning, but really she is more of a friends with benefits type. I think she would be attracted to any youngish guy that gave her some attention, not specifically any qualities particular to the MC. He is just the one that is around. Not a good long term partner, because there isn't any genuine interest other than physical.
- Katie: I am always torn on my opinion on Katie. Her sarcasm get old at time, but that is her character, so I never asked her to tone it down. Clearly she is hiding a lot of vulnerability inside. She obviously loves the MC, and is devoted to him, but she is also very hot tempered, so I can imagine that changing quickly over time. Love can just as easily turn to annoyance and dislike, as most people that have been married know first-hand. Also, because of her extreme lack of confidence she seems the type of woman who will always be suspicious of the MC, even if there isn't any reason, and would be too possessive for things to work well long term. Also, she doesn't really have any interests other than the MC and working out, so there isn't much for her and the MC to talk about.
- Jenna: Jenna is quite smart, has a lot of her own interests, and is an all around interesting character, in my opinion. She also genuinely loves the MC, and I think would be a good devoted long-term partner. She also is independent and confident enough, despite her shy exterior, to not be overly possessive of the MC and his own interests. She seems like the ideal long-term partner in this game, if you like her hot/nerdy looks, which I do
.
- Jolina: She has potential as a long term interest. I am not sure yet how serious she really is for the MC, or how much of her interest is that she is desperate, needs help, and the MC is available. If it is only the latter, this doesn't necessarily bode well for their long term relationship. Despite some questions, I trust her, so I don't think she is trying to screw the MC out of the inheritance. She also has her own independent interests, and is able to start and mostly maintain her own business, which is great. Really, it depends on whether the MC and her are compatible, long term. We haven't spent much quality time alone yet, so it is hard to tell.
- Natasha: She has no morals, so I wouldn't even consider it. That she stays with someone she despises until someone better comes along, says it all.
- Mabel: Who is Mabel again? I honestly don't remember.
- Theresa: Sorry for anyone that might get offended (probably nobody, it is a porn forum), but I do not like fundamentalists, at all. I will tolerate those that are religious, grudgingly, as long as they are accepting of others that do not share their opinion, and don't believe that the 2/3rds of the world population that does not agree with their specific dogma will suffer eternity in hell, but clearly that is not the case with Theresa. Plus, her personality annoys me a lot. I would never talk to her in real life.
- Wanda: Has a lot of baggage, but surprisingly there is potential there. I disliked her at first, but now that she is coming out of her shell, it looks like there might be quite a bit more to her character than her initial bitchy exterior. It would be a challenge, and would take a lot of patience for her attitude, but perhaps with time there could be a genuine relationship there. However, I could probably be completely wrong, who knows. It would take a lot of time with her to be sure, and to find out if she has genuine empathy or good overall values.
- Angel: Possible. I just don't know enough yet about her character. I don't get the sense that she is especially devoted to the MC and vice versa. She seems to be a pleasant person, and certainly very attractive, so with more time to get to know each other, could be a good long term option.
- Bella: Despite my better judgement, I like Bella. I don't know enough yet to say one way or other if she is trying to screw the MC out of his inheritance, but she has the opportunity. She does seem to be devoted to the MC, and I like her personality. She seems like a lot of fun to be around, and always up for whatever. If she isn't secretly working against the MC, she is probably my second favorite long-term potential partner after Jenna.
- Elaine: I also like Elaine. She does want the house, but she is a middle aged women, without a lot of income, and she shared the house with her husband for many years, so I don't count that against her. She could have been more diplomatic about asking the MC for it, since she basically politely kicks him out if her house after dinner if he doesn't agree to give it to her, even if he says he will think about it, which I think is a reasonable response, but I can look past this as perhaps a momentary lapse (unless it is a clue to her duplicity, hmm...). The age gap between her and the MC is an issue of course. She will be in her 60's while you are in your late 30's which is not ideal.
- Lily: Lilly is quite nice, very hot, and is a good option, long-term, for the MC. She also seems to really care about the MC, for some reason. However, I am not convinced really how devoted she is to the MC long term, and clearly she will have her pick of guys her whole life. It would take more time with her, one on one, to find out how compatible she and the MC are, and if she likes the MC for something specific other than just being available. With a partner like Lilly, you would have to always keep one eye open for other guys moving in on her, which is probably more stress than the MC needs. Also, while she is clearly very smart, she needs to drop the act with the MC, otherwise what do they have to talk about? I am not sure what her interests in life are, either, which is important obviously.
- Debbie: I actually like Debbie more than Lilly, as she also seems to care a lot about the MC, is very cute, and more down-to-Earth than Lilly, which I like personally. I can tell she is a lot of fun. However, it may be a bias of my own (sorry for those that disagree), but I don't believe that bisexual people generally will be happy long-term with someone of the opposite sex. I am sure there are exceptions, but I would always be concerned about it if I was in that situation. I imagine with Debbie, even after many long years of a relationship, that she will eventually want to explore her attraction to women, perhaps without the MC. I am not them, so it is possible that I am completely wrong on this. I try to keep an open mind, but if it was me personally, it would be a concern. Without being inside someone else's mind, and maybe they don't even know themselves, it is impossible to know if someone is bisexual because they truly are attracted to both sexes equally, or if it is because of societal pressure and social ease of being with someone of the opposite sex, despite attraction to those of the same sex, and it is easier socially to be bisexual, as long as they have some attraction to the opposite sex, at least at the moment, than to be completely gay. If the social stigma against being gay, at least in most places, and with many people, unfortunately, is ever completely eliminated, this won't be a concern and people can feel free to be with who they really want. This probably won't happen as long as religion is a thing, unfortunately, where people allow books written thousands of years ago, and other people with their interests not in mind, to determine what they think, but I digress (sorry).
