eh, I'm sure he'll be at least writing some of the last chapter... which is gonna be massive considering all the paths he has to do an ending for... while he waits on the remake renders.

I know it sucks, but they really need to put out the remake ASAP... I'd rather wait a whole year if it means they get to at least make some money and being able to finish it... I mean, it's not like final chapters always go smoothly, anyways...
Yes, probably he is also thinking about the plot development, but - at least I guess - more in the creative process of inventing the main concepts of the plot and not coding the actual script with all dialogues, variable check for branching, etc.
Since, as per latest pieces of news that I was able to read here, I think that the remake is not just a matter of batch substituting old renderings with new ones, but also some improvements in the code are planned.
So the Dev said that all the coding and art efforts will be spent on the remake until it's done.

Of course, inspiration comes when it want to come, and I'm sure that if some good ideas come to his mind he will surely write them down, but more as note for future development than as actual Ren'Py source code.
At least that's how I interpret what the Dev wrote about the roadmap for the next few months.

not 100% sure but I think the lewd scene in the garage will always be a creampie ending so you need to skip that one.
I tried a solo route, a completely solo route, with Monica - it was really hard to do. Some routes are not meant to be solo really.

I tried to keep the Monica path a true solo route and found that I could not "discourage" the other routes/LIs without being nasty (no neutral choice) and causing an end of game. I had to be nice and give indications to other LIs that I was interested in order not to have a sudden game over. Not complaining - just a curious observation.

That is a valid complaint actually.
The opposite is true as well. Monica was flirting with you, her daughters were all flirting with you, so when you have sex with all of them, they get angry... I can't figure them out! THEY started it!!
If you play your cards right, you can get Jolene and Jenna to be okay, and I even got Jenna to agree to her sister and you as well. So definitely sticking with Jenna.

Monica has rather long breaks, there are many chapters with little or nothing about herisnt that true for any solo route though?

So does Debbie's solo. Also same with Zarah's solo. Hell, Zarah's was the longest with nothing. It was so long, I thought she had been removed from the game.

Actually, if you ask Cheeky, he'll tell you that they're all main girls. Only ones that aren't were Wanda, the chick who played the succubus and her sister, the woman who was a superhero and the one at the carnival. Wanda was made a main girl somewhere a long the line. But the original mains were:
Monica, Zarah, Elaine, Katie, Jenna, Bella, Jolene and Angel. Debbie and Lily were added a bit later. Then he started adding in more. Wanda led the pack as the first addin(Or maybe that was the other crazy bitch?). As for Zarah, she was always meant to be a main, but most of the patrons hated her for some reason and was relegated to the back burner.

they are all Main Girls in the sense that they have a path and an ending, but the difference between the family group and Bella and the rest of the girls is obvious
Debbie and Lily (my favourite) in terms of content are an accompaniment to Katie
Wanda and Angel are a micro-world that only occasionally crossed paths
and so are the others
Monica notwithstanding belonging to the heart of the story has had rather long pauses
