Hey folks,

Just a quick update to say that Episode 9 is still on track for a 10th January update.
It will be released for $10 patrons first, then 1 week later for $5 patrons and then another week later for everyone else (public release).
I am fully expecting it to be pirated and available on this site much sooner than the "official" public release date.

I will not make an appeal for people to not pirate this release, because it's basically what F95 is all about. However, I am going to ask that out of a bit respect / support for myself and @Aeilion(and to show some appreciation for the game and the level of time/effort that we put into it), that you do not upload immediately.

So if possible, what I would ask is that you hold off pirating/uploading for 4-5 days after the initial release. It still means that the uploader will get the accolades from the F95 community as it will still be 9-10 days earlier than they would normally get it! (and my patrons get to see some reward for their money)
It would be much appreciated.

And as an added incentive (or bribe/threat depending on how you view it ), once WTHI is complete, I am going to create a "bonus" episode (or 2 episodes depending on size). This episode(s) will have some extra scenes (current goal is 9 or 10) that will not need to adhere to Patreon guidelines (as it will be released here and not on Patreon). There will obviously be lots of fun scenarios that can play out in these scenes that wouldn't make it through Patreon's safety net.
I'll even take requests (based on F95 polls) for some of these scenarios.

However for every future Episode of WTHI that gets released here before my 4-5 day wait request.... I'll cut one of these special scenes and they'll never be seen/experienced.

I'm hoping this will appeal to some people (waiting an extra few days for your pirated copy but with the incentive of extra/bonus/uncensored material after the game). I'll let you decide what's of more value.
I'm hoping this mutual incentive works out for us all, but if not, then at least I have two less (free) episodes that I need to worry about creating!

It's just my opinion, but I think, that by the time Thanksgiving rolls around again. The Mc will have the three main ladies already have been knocked up at least twice......and Zarah will have pushed squatted at least 4 of your "snot nosed" babies out by then.

By the time Bella comes back with a moving truck, with the rest of your shit, that she lovingly stored for you in the garage.
She'll notice when you answer the door, that the house is now full of a lot of "weeping and wailing and nashing of teeth".

The Mc will be so happy to see a new face at that point, that he'll immediately start to flirt and fuck Bella......Nows the time to mention that, she came on her fertile ovulation time....and she's not on the pill either......….To Be Continued !!!

I don't see it as black as you. Only 200 of Cheeky's Patreon could interfier with this. All the othe other are already a week behind them and so the release wouldn't happen before the 4-5 days frist. Then this patreon, corrected me if I'm wrong, must be a member of F95 otherwise he can't leak the game here - anynomous or not. Which would raise the question, if the game leaked on another site would we still be rewarded or not?

Also as I understand we do not have only one chance, so even if "we" missed on chance we do have others. But I wouldn't assume that we are lucky (or brave) enough to be rewared with all possible bonus.
Possible that I also wager something for Cheeky if we "earn" all bonus.

And for sure, don't count your chickens before they are hatched.

Let's say f95 says "You are offering a reward, so we'll hold your game for a week before releasing it to encourage people to sign up." The problem is another site that doesn't give a crap will leak immediately, and people will migrate away from f95 because some content is better than none.

People want content quickly and will go where they can get it. Maybe f95 could hold it for a day, two at most, but even that will test patience and loyalty while hurting f95's reputation.

This is just being melodramatic. Just because another website has a link to a game that isn't on F95 doesn't mean squat. F95 is king, and will always be king, no matter how many links it's missing.

It's an interesting move. I'm not particularly hopeful, since I doubt the users posting the leaks have the patience to delay instant gratification for the promise of long-term rewards. But nice to see that Cheeky's thinking on his feet.

I agree, but at least if someone posts it early, they're going to quickly realize their mistake with the amount of hate mail they're going to get.

This is what I've been wondering as well. He did say F95 specifically, but I suppose he could be talking about any leaks regardless of which website they're on.

Just don’t overthink it guys. 4/5 days is nothing. It’s Cheeky who spends time on the game. So hopefully his higher tier pledgers respect that. We have spoken to them in his discord and asked them to wait on leaking. All he can do is hope they acknowledge and respect that.

You should work on your reading comprehension skills. He's not delaying anything. He just asked his top tier patrons to not leak it for an extra 5 days with the incentive of extra content.

These are people supporting because they want to support a good product, not because they have to. @WaltS and @DrFog I would really like it if you told me what I don't know about what I'm talking about. He also didn't charge Patrons for that month and had real life stuff going on such as work, etc. He didn't have to suspend that months payment, but he did anyway and his patrons still got a Christmas bonus due to his co-developer was making daily christmas themed renders throughout the month while Cheeky was sorting stuff out.

The rules here are really clear. We don't force the patreons to release the game and we are ok if people wait to share it. However we are a pirate site so if someone does it, this is perfectly fine.
Every release we have the same drama/flame here from more or less the same users. This time I will thread ban.
Consider this an official warning.

I'll only say this, i see both points in that sites like this help creators to get exposure and helps them get more donations and at the same time i get that creators want people to pay. The issue is that so many of us are poor and so many creators just abandon games so it is hard to trust creators to finish the game.
I'll end by saying if i was a creator i would ask my patreons to wait a month before leaking the game to pirate sites.
We all should at least acknowledge how everyone feels about this from the creators to the fans/people playing the game.

Folks,
A few points to address:

1: Please do not expect the F95 mods/uploaders to "block" any uploads until after the 4-5 day window. It is just not feasible on a piracy site to expect the mods to start adhering to / enforcing rules like this. If someone pirates/uploads within seconds, then the mods are obliged to post/update. If they start blocking uploads just because the DEV asked (reward or no reward), then this would just turn people off F95 (and it would go against a lot of what F95 is for). So if the game gets leaked early, please do not direct any complaints to F95/staff/uploaders. The decision rests solely with the pirate (not the facilitators / medium).

2: I have never (and will never) criticize F95 when my game is pirated. And I 100% acknowledge that I have a lot of current patrons that found my game through F95.

3: I really do not understand the points made about Patrons getting punished / shafted, etc. I really think those posters should get an adult to read to them the proposal once again, because they are just not getting it. The bonus scenes are not going to adhere to Patreon rules, so they were never going to be released via Patreon. And they are not something I have already created, which are going to be deleted just because I am pissed off. They are a Reward scheme (e.g. Extra) to try to dissuade people from pirating. You stick to my request, you get the reward, you don't stick to the request - you don't get the bonus but everything else still continues as is and the game keeps on trucking either way!

4: The only person I'm appealing to is the person who considers pirating/uploading the game immediately. This person does the pirating because they obviously get some sort of gratification from it due to the kudos (either real or imagined) they feel they receive from the rest of the community. All I'm doing is trying to bring some balance to the other side of the scales and show them that they may not be the "hero" to everyone in the community if they release too early.

5: Will it work? Doubtful, but as I've said already, at this stage it is mostly a social experiment. If it works (very low expectations), then great. If not, my game gets pirated immediately, I get pissed off, I get over it and the dance starts again (but hopefully the "hero"'s sense of achievement will be diminished because he'll be pissing some other people off too, other than me)!

6: Since this forum began, I have seen countless messages (here and via DMs) from people telling me that multiple things I am doing (items such as this proposal, some of my responses, some of my game choices, etc.) are "going to cost me Patrons" or "going to piss off my patrons". All of these comments usually have one thing in common - they are almost always written by Non-Patrons. Please don't try to second guess the patrons, they are well capable of representing themselves.

7: For the non-patron fans out there, I write this game as much for you as anyone else (hence why I interact here), so please don't feel the game is only for Patrons (just the early release version ). And while I appreciate the offers of boycotting an early pirated version, please don't. If someone has pirated it, then go ahead and play it and join the discussion guilt-free.
