Hi folks,
Just a quick update to say that we won't have a partial beta ready for the end of the month (i.e. today). The script is pretty much complete (for the whole episode) but we're still missing too much art, so it would spoil the experience if you played as is.
Made some progress on art over the past week but not as much as we had hoped - Our primary artist is off the grid. not sure why or what's going on, but based on what's happening in the world at the moment and knowing that people have a lot of stuff going on, I'm not going to pass any judgement - I just hope he is back in contact soon and hopefully we haven't been ghosted once again. Can't really go into more details at the moment, because I don't know what's going on.
Currently working a plan to divvy up the artwork between me and the other artist to ensure we can complete Episode 17 for April.

This and City of Broken Dreamers are my favorite games. I enjoy that in this one the main character is more competent than in many and a bit less creepy (they even joke some about earlier games with pervy creeper main characters).

MC as father at 19 can't see this really working. They all probably are on PlanB pills or something else. But yeah, i wouldn't mind to knock up Katie. Pregnancy with her would be both fun and terrifying as hell - imagine how much crazier she would get with all the hormones. Imho MC is yet to have all the fun. I bet the sex with Theresa will be some next level shit. But please whatever you do guys, please, don't put MC back in college. This scenario is so worn out and also kinda unrealistic - if i end up with 100k in my bank account and an opportunity to inherit another few millions i won't visit the college again. Invest in something and starting own business - yes. Spending another 3 years to get some bachelors degree in business just so can get a lame office job - no.
As for the ghosting stuff again... Well these are the risks of working with people. Sometimes they get into trouble, sometimes they get irl issues and sometimes they're just assholes. In my 10 year experience of dealing with all kinds of people i've seen pretty much everything - corporate espionage where few people act together to benefit someone else; people getting arrested; suicides after breakups; car crashes and sometimes people just going "well i don't feel like explaining anything to anyone, i just don't wanna do this stuff anymore". But being an aquarius thus optimist by default i always give em the benefit of the doubt at first - always assume they had some important irl issue and had no time to explain. In most cases it's the other way around after all, but... well... you work with what you have. And single people btw are the best and worst employee at the same time. They can always work overtime if they want cos there's nothing and no one else holding them back, but that's also exactly the same reason why they can just fuck off everything and leave without a notice.

The thing is I downloaded the compressed version and I have put the save files I had in the "saves" folder just like you said but when I launch the game and try to load, it gives me an error with a bunch of stuff I don't have the qualification to understand u-u

When I click on "about" in the menu it says" version ep16" and further it says "made with Ren'Py 7.1.3.1092."
I should also mention that I had played it on Gamcore then I encountered an error and when looking at the comments about the game I saw some people having the same issues and a guy said that downloading the game fixes all those issues and stuff. Which I did, but I didn't want to lose my progress so I exported my saves from Gamcore and I'm trying to import them into the game but I'm encountering errors. :/

Yeah at first I hadn't launched a game and I couldn't find the "saves" folder. I thought to myself I should launch the game and save so the "saves" folder creates itself and it worked so I imported my saves in there but when I try to load them: error.

I think I get what your issue is. You have played a previous version, you now have version 16 and wanted to import your saves from the previous version. Is this correct?

If so, then what you do is copy your saves folder from previous version and place that in game folder.

Creating the save for 16 and then placing previous saves in that folder means the game cannot read the saves and gives you the list of errors.

I doubt that. Beta's are a necessary step of the process. Imagine a broken/buggy update being released after so long.

The thing is I downloaded files from Gamcore and it downloaded me a .zip folder and when I extract it there's a normal folder called "WhereTheHeartIs-1519902503" and when I open there are my saves, like the actual save files. And even if I put this folder named "WhereTheHeartIs-1519902503" in the game folder and rename it saves it doesn't work. :/
