Because she's integral to the overall plot. There are certain characters in this game (and every game) that will always be included. You can choose not to date her but that's all IIRC. That’s an unpopular opinion? I’d take her any day. I’d say a more unpopular opinion would be Jenna over Katie.
In my playthrough the MC has been banging every girl and it seems like this is one of those rare games where it will have consequences. I wonder how the main girls will react?
