Game is a masterpiece.

That said, wish the game was remastered with modern visuals (at least the first 8 chapters). And Monica and Zarah were enhanced to be more facially beautiful.

Still 10/10.
It is actually on the agenda (bringing the early game up to the late game standard). Our artist Cell knocks out some updated early game renders if he's not too busy (he usually is, but the ones I've seen are pretty awesome) but our primary goal is to finish the game first and then bring the entire game up to the final games visual standard and smoothing over any rough patches in the writing / variables. At one point we tried hiring a separate artist to do just that while we continued to work on finishing the game with the main team but that fell through. :/ I do have to disagree about Monica and Zarah needing improvement though (especially their late game versions). I find that they aren't entirely perfect and can actually pass for their age makes them more realistic. It is also a personal preference though.

1722608.png jolina.jpg 1647703689584.png Looking at the three photos, they are taken in the same house. Jolina's house as Jenna claims or Elaine's house? It's important to know because if they are two different houses with the same furniture that's one thing but if not, it goes without saying that Bella and Jolina are friends. Thanks

I tend to agree.... she has the motive, means, opportunity, and she just LOOKS fake... fake hair, fake boobs, she just looks like a gold digger.

99% sure Jolina is the snake. Too many things to mention as to why... But it has to be.

The problem with the snake thing is, if you look at most if not all the characters in "Where the heart is"
Becomes how can you actually trust any of them.
They all/most have done questionable things and seem to justify it.

It's been a while since I last posted but its no secret my views are a bit jaded on people.
I don't think any of the characters can be trusted.
Each time I have tried putting myself in the MC's shoes, I keep thinking the guy is F'ed.
Sell beach house, then move away.

Where he is now, is loaded with drama.
Life is full of that but the path he keeps going down doesn't show him building a life.
In his shoes I'd move away. That prevents him/you being at fault for anything.

I forget all the requirements of the will.
Don't live with the Monica and the family.
Ok that's done by moving away.
I don't recall there being anything stating maintain connection with your mother in law.
So that's another one fixed.
I remember or maybe day dreamed it, about not having contact with sisters?.
Again a move would fix that issue.

Move to a new place, clean yourself of all that drama and manipulation.
Try to get back into college and create a future. (or just get into college. I think it was stated before he went?)
If you think that's not been floating around heavy it (manipulation) was rubbed in your face from the start, all you have to do is remember a birthday party. If you don't agree, I will give you that since its a matter of view, mine is people keep using you.

I have my bias on characters.
One more than any other but I'm pretty sure shes not good lol
I'd actually love to see an ending, where you could end up with the girl (forgot name) you make her cheat on her boyfriend at her birthday and later you meet up with her in the coffee shop(I think?)

That to me would be a fitting and ironic LI,
All these other people scheming or doing stuff for their own gain and yet if you could make amends with her.
Well she knew nothing about the will and seems to be basically hated.
I cant recall if Jenna made amends or not, I recall a conversation where you could say she went too far.
I don't remember if it had gone beyond that conversation though.

Eh rambling to much ending it here lol

That's a bit to cynical for me... and i'm pretty sure the Dev wants to create an enjoyable harem ending, haha.

Katie, Jenna, Lily and Debbie - If anyone of them were the gold digger... that would be some season 8 Game Of Thrones levels of "subverting expectation." So i doubt it would be one of them.

Monica - Probably did something shady, but the MC and her will talk. All will be forgiven.

Elaine - Too obvious therefore i doubt it. If anything she'll sacrifice herself for the MC. Maybe even give the MC her portion of the inheritance once he forfeits it. She's a redemption arc, imo.

Bella - Maybe guilty, she lays it on pretty thick... kind of sketchy.

Angel/Wanda - Nah, they're for harem, lol. Hoping for Wanda redemption actually, looks like it's going that way. Plus MC might partake in Wanda's trust fund. Another happy ending.

Theresa - For all we know, Tommy is MCs half-brother. She may very well be the 3rd candidate for the inheritance. Her task to to "Save" the MC, probably. Although, i doubt she's the gold digger.

Jolina - Too many sketchy comments from her. And her past is littered with clues she knew MCs father. Without going into it too much, she's the logical choice to be the gold digger. I'd have to replay to pull the citations. But If not for money, it's for vengeance.

There's my brief ramble. "Where the Heart Is"... Emphasise on "family" and pretty much all of them are MCs family in one way or another... Except Jolina.

Harem doesn't mean best outcome.

My believing everyone isn't that good, I give that to you for being cynical.
I make no argument against that.

Everyone doing something off and justifying it is just a fact.
I don't put faith in the fortune teller. I have stated this in the past.
Believing it is possible that Monica set it all up.
Why I stopped posting when people got into what was said,
because I believe its meant to add distrust onto others.
As well as keep people guessing, while tossing them off track.

The whole game so far has had a lot of people setting things up.
Its hard to turn a blind eye on anyone.
As I stated once before I think Monica , manipulates Zarah(?) to get her to put things in place in a cunning way.

Once you get money Zarah jumps on the M.C. saying she needs money and wouldn't come to you.
Or something to that effect.
Who is to say this isn't sparked by Monica. Zarah treats you differently if you say no.
Given the size of the house she lives in, given the fact 3 people lived there for how long?
Now 4...
The cost of living would state shes doing VERY well for herself.
Which makes me always question Zarah.
I might be reading a bit too much into that but it strikes me as interesting how if you go for the romance route
She sets herself up nicely.

Given how much pre-covid , life costs in general, for him to say no and protect his future is not something to get upset over.
Living there prices are sky high.
I'm just talking normal ways of living food, electricity, water bill, basics are expensive.
Not to mention putting kids through college.
So having money can vanish easy if you aren't smart about spending.

My whole argument has been building a life. "family"
None of which I view any of them doing anything. Hence "building a future"
Each person does something which is questionable and then takes it to the next step going too far.
I have stated before , for characters I have a weak spot for Bella but as stated before I also don't trust her.
That's manly due to her sister but she is only one of few I'd give a chance to.

Depends how you wish to read the title on where the heart is.
It does imply family but also implies where you view it.
There is family all over of which you aren't actually a part of.
Even Katie often pokes at the M.C. for being lazy and should do something.

I take it as building your family.
As I see it your step mother kicked you out, we all remember how it started.
Your father wants you away from basically all the cast.
Living with Monica and everyone has done nothing for the M.C. growth at all.
Support at the start of the game, did well but hes not getting onto his feet and seems to lack motivation,
with his banter with Katie was it? He stated he needed to work out again? Wheres the gym? lol
Him living there beyond the need to makes no growth for him.
I get his dad died but he had no real emotional connection to his dad.
Now its all about the will. He doesn't or at least shouldn't need so much moral support by Monica and her family.

Being where the M.C. is only makes him a victim of victim of circumstance.
Hes not growing as a character, almost seems like hes letting other people guide his life.

I never trusted Katie after the birthday stunt, later when it came to the whole wine bit, when you get the beach house.
It has never sat well with me how she talked about counting the wine and price.
I always said that, the M.C. should have given half the wine to Monica as a thank you for letting him live there.
But when talking about the cost of wine and Kate doing the math on it, that's something I question.

Jenna did the whole hacking thing granted I understand the whole story about this but watching you have sex a little weird. but like I said it always goes that one step too far.

Angel and Wanda.
Angel my other weak spot , I think she does use you to advance her career.
But she's best girl in my eyes. I think shes morally better adjusted than most in the game.
Wanda , I'm sure she'd do anything to get ahead in life. She was treating Angel horrible and even is condescending saying isn't that the secretary if you pick her as a model. Even if you try to get her to be nicer she always defaults to bitch.
Jolina just rubs be the wrong way. No pun intended. She easily seems to willing to use other people.
Elanie I think I got her name right? I honestly don't know how I should see her. I actually like her more than Jolina, which I am sure I will get flack for but that isn't saying much because I cant stand stand her lol.
Lilly is one I don't know really how to read. I have conflicting thoughts on her.
Debbie which is the other one I have a weak spot for. I tend to view her as kinda like James Woods from south park "oh a piece of candy" kinda thing but with sex lol. She doesn't leave a good lasting impression specially with her focus mainly on Lilly.

Respect for your intrigue. But i can't imagine the Dev wrote this as a Game of Thrones (Season 1-6, the rest is garbage story) with the the main characters being devising complex schemers... lol.

If Katie, Jenna, Lily, Debbie, Monica, Elaine and Angle/Wanda somehow turn out to be plotting bitches... I can only imagine, including myself, the followers will be be like "What, yeaaa ok".

But who knows, maybe the Dev has some real masterpiece writing involved in this porn game lol.

Not even close to that.
Interesting jump to a tv show with murder as a main plot.

Kate started with the birthday stunt with making poor choices and her overall actions really don't seem to change.
Even when she comes to you, shes asking you your opinion rather than coming to the conclusion on her own.

Jenna hacked a computer. Again Story calls for it but saying no is always an option but then she even violated a private moment watching you fuck.

I can keep listing time and time again things people do that they could easily say no to and make it so they are hard to trust.
Its not being a masterpiece of deception but rather a good question of, why do you start a relationship with someone who's starting with a bad foundation. Hence why I have a big liking for Angel.

The more acts people are willing to do wrong, the less likely you are to trust someone.

How many actually try to do something with the M.C.?
How many show more of an interest in the M.C. more so than whats going on in the will?
With all the characters, how many reach out to the M.C. for anything like a date or time alone?
How many times have we seen the M.C. reach out to other people?
Going by time spent alone with people,
How often do they spend time with each other without the will or Elanie coming up in a conversation.

I think its all good questions if you are going to build a future.
