Agree on Neil. I hate the character but love how he is used in the story. I don't mind unitaskers if they fill their role(s) well. The implication is that Eva doesn't want to do it and would stop the moment she can. So there is more flexible on her path. She can likely be another tool for Neil, but if she is "rescued" maybe she can enter into swinging? I'd like her to be exclusive for the husband, but I don't see indications for that.
Abigail could be Neils female equivalent of a ruthless rival manipulating the husband away from his wife, but currently she is under Neils thumb (and only had like two superficial flirts with the husband).
Its much smoother if each love interest is only handled for one or two playstyles, not all three. Else the game will never get done and characters won't distinguish themselves from each other. Like what is currently the difference between James and John?
Hence, going back to the original argument, Neils writing wouldn't benefit if he became toothless and applicable for a more wholesome and communicated swinging/sharing path. Maaybe NTS if the husband is a doormat, basically a variation of the obvious NTR path.
I'm not sure about what you say about Eva; for a medical provider to do what she is doing... ...when she is discovered she needs to be disbarred from practicing medicine. No matter why she does what she is doing, it is an unpardonable sin for a therapist to manipulate her patients that way. In essence she's just one more "Neil victim."
But sex scenes between Eva and the MC couple? Where do I sign up?
