Others Unreal Engine Completed Whorecraft: The Chronicles Of Alexstrasza [XMas 2024] [Auril]

Hi. It took me 3 hours to test all games, and I have solutions:
For every game that is started with "Ost_game.exe", it is recommended to delete the folder "Ost_Game" which is located under the temporary files.
Path:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local
When do I have to delete the "Ost_Game" folder?
Every time you play another part of the series. If you are playing a game for the very first time, you do not have this folder.
(You can enter "%appdata%" in the explorer window at the top of the path and then you are in AppData\Roaming . Go up one folder level higher, so that you are at "local". The "Ost_Game" folder is then in there, if available).
This is the most important step.
(Fixes blurred menu or graphics. And also black screen.)(It also makes sense to adjust your graphics settings if it is still blurred. (ingame menu) )
Step 2:
Never change the Resolution higher then 1080p (ingame) (1920x1080).
You can try setting it higher, but I wouldn't recommend it.
If you want to play the games in Full screen, set Game to 1080p and then press ALT+ENTER.
The Following games are REQUIRED to be started with administrator rights:
CH1EP1 - Hot on the Trail (2012) (UE3)
CH1EP3 - Go Now and Claim Your Destiny, Death Knight (2013) (UE3)
CH1EP4 - Stranded (2013) (UE3)
otherwise => Game Crash or Game do not start.

Install the game and Replace folder "User Code" in ...\Binaries\Win32
(just look at the readme.txt)
Other Problems:
"MSVCR100.dll not found" Install
You must be registered to see the links
"Another .dll was not found" Install all DirectX Versions.

If you can not move your mouse or focus on the game window, press ALT+TAB to go in that window from the game.
I have tested all Games. (tested under Windows 10 Pro 22H2)

I'm having problems getting Ch2 Ep3 working, starts up and crashes right away from the menu. Any tips to fix it? I have an AMD GPU and am up to date on drivers/directx etc
A couple possible causes are:
1. There is an OST_Game folder from another game in "x:\Users\username\AppData\Local" where the x is your boot drive, usually C and username is the user name listed. If it's there, delete it and try again.
2. There is a known issue with a number of titles in the series, Windows 10 and recent GPU drivers. You might need to load older drivers to get it to run and I'm not sure what will work for AMD GPUs.

AND you can Start the Game as Administrator. (works for me in the past) (rightclick, run as Administrator)

This series was incredible at the time.
I remember it fondly but they always lacked one thing: A DAMNED GALLERY -.-
Plus they are a huge waste of time to play even with the walkthrough since you just run from point A to point B
But, graphic was nice, characters and story were fun
