I think I noticed that typo the day I released. Since it was on a letter I made that is an actual image that can be scrolled, I left it for now, since the dialogue text was actually correct (if the player chose to see that). I marked this bug down and will re-make that letter before the next release. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I can't see what song you're linking as my browser is blocking Google.
Yeah, tried something new for the first time, adding media to a post. But anyway, it's the song listed as Coffee Shop Song 6 / cafe6.mp3.I can't see what song you're linking as my browser is blocking Google.
If it's the music that was playing in the VIP lounge on the NTR path, then that is an AI song I made, using lyrics I wrote. All the other songs in Act 2 were just regular copyright free stuff sourced from various places.
Oh those coffee shop tracks!Yeah, tried something new for the first time, adding media to a post. But anyway, it's the song listed as Coffee Shop Song 6 / cafe6.mp3.
What browser is that, or are you in China?
Oh those coffee shop tracks!
I downloaded a full set of indie coffee shop music and picked out the 10 that I wanted to cycle through visits to Joe's Cafe.
Damned if I can find the link right now, but I remember is was some Indie Studio in the UK, iirc.
I've been trying to find a happy spot and for the last couple of updates, I went back and forth with about 2 months on one VN then 2 months on the next.btw love both your games, what's your usual update schedule?
good luck and take care. Don't overwork and excited for the next updatesI've been trying to find a happy spot and for the last couple of updates, I went back and forth with about 2 months on one VN then 2 months on the next.
I've decided to spend the bulk of my time finishing Whoremonger first now. I also want to finish the full Act 3, because there's so many paths coming together that i want to do them justice and get them as good as I can. So this next update is going to be fairly beefy with possibly 1K+ renders and 20-30 animations (something I am doing a lot more now).
I'm hoping to have it out for sometime next month, but that can easily change. For example, I was up at 7am this morning, looking at a full 8+ hour session working on it but DAZ Studio decided to punch me in my ball sack and I just wasted 4 hours fixing an issue that was preventing me from rendering. I swear, you need a PHD from DAZ university at times, with the odd fuck-ups this app throws you at times!
I'm only on the forum right now to ask for some help from my fellow Devs.
Just found a continuity error. After looking up what the NTR toggle actually did for this game I realized (as others have) that it used a verrrrry broad definition and wasn't the "bad" kind, so I enabled it. However, I skipped the scene with Jewel in the VIP room in front of April. Yet when talking to April in the coffeeshop on Day 10 morning, she and MC discuss what happened in the VIP room anyway. I'm guessing the conditional is checking that the NTR toggle is enabled but isn't checking if you actually did the scene.
You probably found this in your review already, but MC talks with Maddie about the incident in his truck dropping her off to school after lunch on day 19.Ya, that's what it was. It was only checking if you had NTR enabled, not if you had actually picked to go upstairs with Jewel. I made a few errors like that earlier in the coding. It was silly too, because I did make a boolean for that choice and I should have just used that instead. I added it to my bug list to fix for the next update. Thx.
I actually just did a review of the whole VN's code last week, to prevent this exact bug again. I mapped all the choices and paths and variables to a spreadsheet so I can quickly look up any event and cross-reference which variable was used in that scene. In Act 3, there's going to be a few scenes that are progress in things the player had to choose before, so I am making sure I keep all the choices and paths on target.
Ya, I actually have a few changes to the school drive dialogue, but I have held off fixing them until later, because they were minor and would only affect a very few people who didn't play through that scene. That scene is on the list for fixing this next release. You probably found this in your review already, but MC talks with Maddie about the incident in his truck dropping her off to school after lunch on day 19.
This is an excellent production decision. I've seen many games lately try to go polish things every other update which just results in frustration within the community. Best way is to have a vision in mind and do a decent job in getting to it. Later there can be polished final version with proper typo/code fixing, optimized animations and who knows maybe even DLC of sorts with a side story or conclusion that some people might be curious about, but wasn't really necessary for the main game. Too many devs try to chase perfection during developement process, but I think people are not expecting it until the game is done and would rather have steady update schedule than 5% better scene that took 50% more developement time.Ya, I actually have a few changes to the school drive dialogue, but I have held off fixing them until later, because they were minor and would only affect a very few people who didn't play through that scene. When I finally finish this VN, I'll probably go back and fix/change/edit some renders and scenes... and most likely make a bunch of new animations. I'm not doing that now as I want to get new content out first.
It's been a while. Mainly because I was alternating between working on this VN and my other one A Dark Horse Riding.Feels like forever since I last played this game, I'm getting quite an itch for it recently. A bit sad to see the thread is not that active, the game may look a little rough around the edges, but it has nice structure and if someone who hasn't played yet reads this - just try it and see for yourself, you might just like it
Games with sluts and whores are always good!I'd just like to say how much I've enjoyed the game so far and I genuinely believe that it could be a 5 star game.
Very best of luck dev.
