Why do some people simply hate NTR?

Lecturing? Bro, I said apathy isn't great. It was a statement, not a lecture. Are you alright? Do you need a sip of water or something?
These don't seem at all hostile?

Why not? I have a happy home life and a wife I sometimes go through AVNs with. Why do you not?
And yet it took you longer to get to your point than it did for him to clarify and me to say ok, makes sense. Interesting process you have there.
You asked why I care to in response to a statement that apathy is bad. Perhaps your belief in what "a point" consists of is the actual problem, lol.
I don't care.

You guys are just arguing for no reason, chill lol. I didn't mind clarifying really, even tho you did pick that part out of sentence (and literal paragraph) about my ex and deemed it general apathy. But who cares, I clarified. And it's not like I care about what others find healthy or unhealthy about me as long as you are not being rude about it. We all have opinions, it's how you deliver them that matters. I didn't mind your delivery. If I did, you would know. :p

I am not trying to argue, was agreeing with you and just expanding that fictional characters shouldn't be put on an emotional level with real people. They exist within their own bubble.

Edit: given the topic title was bringing it back around to rage etc over ntr

I personally like to 'over invest' in a way. I am not really immersing myself as characters but I do feel a lot observing them go through stuff. It's not always pretty but that's exactly the point for me. I find thrill and enjoyment in consuming it that way.

Now, there is obviously a difference. I can't be 'traumatised' long term by fiction and it's short lived compared to real life. It also doesn't affect me directly or things I went through outside of fiction.

That's me tho, not everyone is the same.

I have two different approaches to ntr stories. One is just because some NTR stories are great writing and I'm along for the ride. The other is almost clinical, a search for NTR that pushes the boundaries out of a morbid curiosity to see what depraved crap a person can come up with. Neither one traumatize me on a personal level, though sometimes the NTR with a good story can cause a bit of a gut reaction, but in a good way, the same way Se7en affected viewers.

The point is we do it of our own volition and we don't complain if it stings in one way or the other. For me that is exactly why I consume certain games.

Honestly when I was young I hated incest stories like people hate ntr ones. When I accidentally read a ntr story disguised a vanilla and genuinely enjoyed it ever since then I was hooked on consuming ntr games and content but I still enjoy vanilla games and even in some games i choose vanilla path if I feel the vanilla content is better.

And then there was my approach. Where you don't know what the term means and stumble upon it, forever cementing a habit to google every single tag that is unfamiliar. :(
Reason 4 I see
Full reasons figured out to date (no particular order)

1) Its my fantasy and that shouldn't be part of it
2) Some corners of the net think its a conspiracy to turn men weak
3) Cuck hating - makes someones own weird kink seem ok cos they are 'at least not a cuck'
4) NTR isn't self explanatory so everyone who hates it generally ran face on into it before learning to avoid (unlike some of the more obvious tags people know to avoid)
5) its too close to real, many fantasies are over the top, this one is very easy to understand (if haven't already been cheated on before its not hard to imagine)
6) insecurities being projected onto others to prove 'im a real man, im not gay' etc.
