Why do some people simply hate NTR?

I understand the pain of betrayal as someone who went through it and I'm fine with you disliking content here as long as you don't lash out on players and devs who enjoy it. But if you are really traumatised by it you should steer clear of it, even if it's 'avoidable'.
I agree, I'm playing with fire when reading avn's with that kind of (avoidable) content. But to be fair, in most avn's where it is avoidable, most of the time I don't get triggered. If I do get triggered, that's my problem, not the dev's or other players. ;)

And like I said, I'm not that jaded to shitpost on every ntr avn. If others do like it, good for them.

Doesn't that answer your own point... if you were over invested in fictional characters would you have invested in a wife.
I read books, watch movies, watch TV, and play video games (adult and not). I get invested in good stories of all forms and have since I learned how to read way back in the 80s. Why are you on about over investment? What are you even talking about?

Well the point you were replying to made sense the way they said it. You were acting like no longer caring about something (i.e. letting go) was bad. Why would you consistently equate fictional characters to real events rather than treat them as escapism or thought experiments.

That makes much more sense.
The point they were making was 'one time I got food poisoning from chicken, but I still eat chicken and don't associate it with that bad experience'.

About anything. If you don't care about anything it's called apathy. The person clarified and it made more sense.

Same point as above.

Dude, you need to relax. Not everything is deep, intrinsic exploration. Some things are just a simple statement followed by a clarification.

This is called apathy and is generally not a healthy mindset, though some prefer it. Not me, but some.
After you cherry picked three words out of a paragraph. All i did was weigh in and agree with the OP that care when its worth caring, let go when its not.

And yet it took you longer to get to your point than it did for him to clarify and me to say ok, makes sense. Interesting process you have there.

If you have only so many fucks to give, why spend them on fictional characters
I think i made my point pretty quick?

& your response was a loaded flex? hostile? not really sure

Why not? I have a happy home life and a wife I sometimes go through AVNs with. Why do you not?

You asked why I care to in response to a statement that apathy is bad. Perhaps your belief in what "a point" consists of is the actual problem, lol.
My point was if fictional characters elicit the same real responses from you as if you were going through the exact same experience, then you are over investing. Reading all quiet on the western front is not talking to a veteran, and the levels of investment should be proportional.

So yes, I have lot more apathy for fictional characters, hell we have all seen hundred of thousands die without batting an eyelid unless they are named and built up.

I don't care.
