Why so many thread just became target practice against Devs?

Hello,
I've noticed lately that many thread became only massive shit storm against the devs.

Here we are, on a forum where we have the chance to get for free so many games because some "lunatics" decided to pay and share their links with us. And then we find hundreds of message to bash/insult the dev.
I understand that we can see the forum as a way to promoting the game, which is why so many dev themselves interact here, then it can lead to critics, which is good.
Sharing thoughts and critics are the best way to inform potentials supporters (patrons) and if we think that a game is not worthy to be financially supported. But lately, it became only thrashing talks how the dev is a lazy liar, a milk man, a crook....whatever.

If you are a patron, a forum user and feeling scammed, you unpledge and inform others of your misadventure and then you go on the road rage on patreon...why here?

And why so many free user, use this forum to unload their rage toward devs for who they don't pledge for and keep going on and on, and even, attack other users who don't agree with them ! You don't like the game anymore or beleive the dev is no longer a good one, just drop the thread..

I like this place but it became more bitter and angry that it used to be.

And this is something that has only be increasing. I dont know where the toxic behavior started but its definitely become a virus on here and spreading. I personally dont like to punish users or have to ban them. Since it has been getting worse, harsher actions have been taken.

it seems that twitter, instagram, thousands of political/religious/social forums and every news site are not enough to satisfy the need to spread and express the hate.
If a dev is not good, don't respect his word or else..fine we can say that but writing over and over that is an asshole/../, wtf !

First of all, saying ''You don't pledge, you don't get to....bla bla bla'' is no argument. Secondly, those devs deserve NO praise at all. There's only a handful who deserve any praise, since the rest ARE milkers and scammers, probably not deliberately but being lazy or stupid is no excuse. I had no of feeling of this change or what you describe, since most of the people on here basically lick developer *** on a daily basis, so do the mods. FFS, you have threads on here who are dedicated to fan art for games like, and may Allah forgive me for uttering this name, Dating my Daughter. This game is the prime example and people still don't learn. So if there is a indeed a shift then that's a good thing.

Well, insulting a developer straight to their face - or via messages like on the internet - is indeed harmful and can stress him or cause other things to him that might lead to unproductiveness and general personal harm. I agree with you on that.
What's the point of constant positive (in most cases *** licking) feedback, though?
Positive comments are ridiculous overwhelming on here and also in general on Social Media and other online platforms.
Negative comments warn other people of bad developers and can also assist developers on their game.
The positive comments do absolutely nothing on here.

Have you noticed that no serious dev come here to this forum anymore?. The last one was to come here to give support was DS and he got destroyed by the NTR fanboys and the milking patrol. This place has become so toxic that sooner or later devs start to think their time should be spent elsewhere rather than arguing with people who haven't rendered a single image or coded a single line in their lives. Devs are human beings who've chosen or want to make adult games for a living, yet here people steal their games, bash them, call them whatever you want to call them and make them feel like they're the criminals when in fact we are. My 2 cents.

Well, imagine i share a game here, the postive comments will show what is good in it and can interest you, right, you are not just gonna download every game to test it by yourself. In the positive comments yu may find what you like too!

The top incest games made this forum popular. People come here to steal a copy, and I'm guessing most come from 4chan or 8chan, so the cancer spreads here too...

Most of the staff have realized that it comes from there. Also on top of it, even though some of the comments may be genuine in some way. It can be hard to tell the difference between someone who is just being a bit harsh or using the wrong punctuation. We also try to not limit speech but also at the same time, stop trolling and what this thread is talking about.

Yeah, right. You don't think for one second, you only want to play the Peace keeper, when in fact there should be no peace and those devs should be harassed or at least be portrayed as what they are. And you also bring up the same ''you don't develop, you don't get to talk'' none-argument. Most haven't chosen to make a living out of porn games, they just try it out and are very bad at it. Look at the video game industry and see what those kind of people combined do.

The only reason anyone would (or should) go to a forum like this is to share links for games. When creators come to forums like these it usually leads to immense ass kissing. For instance: on ULMF you genuinely can't share download links for certain games if the creators visit. Why? Because the forum owners like to jerk off over the thought that game devs visit their forums and don't want to jeopardize that by users leaking their games in clear view.

Back in 2005 creators like Zone-Archive used to see their shit posted on 4chan all the time. Their response? Do absolutely nothing and ignore it, sometimes even leaking it themselves for a laugh. Zone still made stupid amounts of money both for themselves and their managing site Hentaikey, and then they went on to get work with stuff like Skullgirls. There's no excuse.

P.S.: Anyone who uses the word "toxic" unironically should go back to their fat women hovel, Tumblr.

"In fact there should be no peace"? No matter what you or I think, there are people who like games that other people don't and they benefit from developers interacting with. What right does anyone have to make the kinds of decisions you're making on behalf of all 400,000+ members (unless you own or run this forum)? YOU not liking something doesn't mean that no one should be able to enjoy it.

Here's the truth..
We mods do not protect the developer's feelings at all. We have plainly spoken to developers like Vnorth, DarkSilver, and others both as moderators and as members. Myself, bloo, TCMS, ryahn, F95, ace_boogie, wynin, and pretty much EVERY SINGLE MOD has spoken against a developer several times. And not just one developer but several! Other than being moderators, we are also members who play many of the games and read the comics. And you will often see moderators posting responses in game forums because we play them too. So we all have dual roles and we know of the good games and the bad ones, too.
As moderators, what we do is we take action against posts deemed to be blatantly against the first rule - be respectful to other members. But it's a slippery slope that runs awfully close to censoring so we act against the posts that we deem are the worst offenders. We have to balance free speech with bad behavior and we do the best we can. Granted, most of us mods would nuke entire conversations if we could but we don't because we let members talk. Frankly speaking, that's the part of being a moderator that is tough. But it must be done!

The truth is that we are not defending the developers at all.. rather, we are defending our members. All of them! So if a developer is a member, then they are also a member. Never forget this.
