Also I'll say it again, theres really not too drastic of a difference between demo and "full" right now.
I genuinely do not understand why you keep saying this. It makes me think you haven't actually played the full version. The map is so much bigger and has so much more to offer. More NPCs. More quests. More areas to explore. The demo was made small to just give the player a taste of what the full map might be like.
I'm not even trying to defend the game. No need it can do that for itself. It just seems to me after playing hundreds of hours in this game that you really haven't spent much time in it at all. There is probably a 10:1 size difference in map size. At least 5 NPCs that give quests. A dragon that has a quest and you can ride albeit a bugged and inconsistent one. Many different monster camps. The Iron Creed fort. Forest areas with wolves and ore deposits. Desert area with sand and scorpions and wasps. Five or six drake towers spread around the map. Minotaur mazes. Six different dungeons. I don't get it man, do you find this much stuff in the demo? How are these two versions so close to one another? I'm not trying to be an ass, but your statement seems to be either intentionally petty or you really haven't played the full version much at all. I don't think anyone here that has played the full version would agree with your assessment, so could you please elaborate on that statement a bit so that it doesn't just seem like your just bitter about people calling it a "full" version, which by the way is referring to the map size not the development state.
alright thx for the advice. i think imma wait instead. kind of annoying if i have to build everything again for every update
It really will be something major. I think I'm going to stop being a cheapskate and buy it on Steam when its released. Here is a post about it from the dev. Fair warning tho, expect a wave of new bugs. Its an ongoing trend with this dev.

**️ BIG BUILDING SYSTEM UPDATE IN THE WORKS!**
We’re currently hard at work on a **huge overhaul of the building system** in *Wicked Island*, one that opens the door to far more **creative freedom, cozy homes, and detailed player-made environments** than ever before.
> While this update isn’t live yet, here’s a preview of what’s coming:
---
** More Pieces, More Creativity**
The total number of wooden build pieces is expanding to **around 60**, with many **entirely new shapes**, including half/quarter walls, decorative beams, and far more **roofing options**.
All old wood pieces have been replaced with the **new visual style**, making your builds feel **sharper, warmer, and more cohesive**.
Whether you're building a **modest hut** or an **elaborate hillside fortress**, this update aims to give you the **freedom to make it yours**.
---
**️ Furniture & Decoration**
This update is also about making your home feel **lived-in and personal**.
There will be **20+ new furniture items** and **18 decorative props**, including:
* Storage options
* Statues & banners
* Lighting
* Clutter decorations
> ⚠ *Note:* Storage furniture is **functional**, but most new props are **purely decorative**.
You’ll finally be able to turn your builds into **true homes**, not just empty halls.
---
**⚙ Improved Build Experience**
The system has been refined to make building **smoother and more satisfying**:
* Toggle **"no collision" placement mode** for precise decorating
* Fixes for **deleting pieces** and bugs that caused frustration or crashes
* Better **snapping & placement logic** for a cleaner experience
> The goal is to make building **as effortless and fun as possible**.
