This is soo buggy, lmao... NOTHING is working the way it should, not one thing...
That's not true at all.

Most things are functioning pretty well. Crafting, combat, sex anims I tried so far. Although if one has an old save you need to redo the Quests (which isn't terrible per se)

dump on the game for real buginess sure. Nothing working however is just flat out false.

Your statement about trying a new start, is me every single update.
I don't carry over my old characters to test out 'new stuff', mostly because my old characters are completely over powered and can crush pretty much anything they encounter, so nerfs to things don't feel as impactful.
However, ....
When you start a new character, you can really feel the changes. Which is why I am usually bitching and griping about stamina nerfs or armor nerfs or harvesting/crafting nerfs.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just some random things:

In this version Bronze was changed to an actual alloy, so you need to mine copper, tin, and some coal, to make bronze. Doesn't sound horrible until you realize that a single BRONZE pickax (or ax) now requires 12 bronze ingots to make, it used to be 3 or 4 ingots.
Don't forget that on a new character you are only gaining 1 copper/tin/coal ore per ore node 'level' that you mine. So, a copper node will only give you 3 or 4 pieces of ore.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

On a 'positive' note:
Hyped buff grants +4 stamina regen, which is godly in this game. Sit down and rest for about a minute of real time and you should have the hyped buff for about 5 minutes or so to harvest/mine/chop whatever you can. Well rested is +3 and rested is +2 stamina. If you wear the rabbit mask from Isabel's tower and some soup/bread, +75 stamina can go a long ways when you are 'hyped'.

Time to dive back into the game on my new character ... I have to go hunting for Iron.
I guess one could say my lvl 105 ch is a bit ridiculous now (although combat stats are not what you might think since it's v 105 by pure sluttiness), but using her as the benchmark the stamina still shows.

Still as formasual says there are ranges of new buffs which are interesting.

Armor: at first I was annoyed but having taken a moment to first cheat in each set of armor ranging to test, in some ways I like and may even prefer the new set-up.

But Ore choice (at least its reproducing not finite) is questionable - bronze to steel is weird in a way and one still has some left overe iron items (arrows)
I think I may make Discord comment - Ore is not so bad overall if one can buy basic ores in the village - that's long been my strategy over going around for iron ore or whatever. The cloth to cloth boots economy being my long strategy (I hope Dev never notices and 'fixes')

The armor is bit weird now compared to previously, but I think it might be better. Time will tell, but there is a light and heavy version of armor in their respective range. The heavy armor will usually take a lot of ingots, but the light armor usually takes about same as they used to. However, the tradeoff is that it requires a lot of silk or leather. Silk is a bit of a pain, but iron can be mined while silk farming.

Also, Legendary armor is in the map somewhere I just haven't found it yet. There is also "consort" armor which basically took the place of Royal armor and from what I've seen it looks really cool. I haven't found where to acquire/craft them, but I have found where to upgrade them. I might be holding the clue and don't know it, but I don't wanna ask discord I'd rather search and find it on my own for now.

Also also, armor upgrades don't cost crystals anymore. Now they cost crystal shards which I've mainly found on nightmares, but they are also in the crystal chests. Regardless, they are not limited like the crystals so feel free to upgrade what you like. I'm currently using the Scouts armor which is light armor and its not that great really, but I upgraded it to tier 2 and that was enough to keep me from getting one shotted. Takes a lot of silk tho.

The Royal Blade was added and I had thought that it was reduced in stats because I noticed the Punisher is just a bit better than it is regarding stats. But the Punisher used to be the same as the Black Steel Greatsword except it had more duration. Now the Punisher is way better than the Black Steel Greatsword so I was mistaken about the Royal Blade being reduced and instead the Punisher was hella buffed.
There are armors that require Crystals, they are the top end light and heavy armors that you can make, so Sentinel and Vanguard (I think). The equipment model for the top end heavy armor is the old Royal armor, which is why I keep referring to it as Royal armor.

The Punisher was a badass weapon in the previous version as well, bonus crit chance, bonus crit damage, more damage than a crafted dark steel 2H sword. Pair that thing up with the mask from Movrayne (+50 base damage) and it is a BFH.

I have gone with the heavy armor for now. Steel pants and gloves are T1, steel loincloth is T3 and the chest is Bronze T3. I am currently crying Salty Tears of Grinding over the insanity of making armor right now.
64 steel ingots for a full set of steel armor. 64 x 3 (3 tiers) for 192 ingots. 2 iron ingots per steel ingot and 2 iron ore per iron ingot and combine that with the much heavier weights for everything and shuttling 768 iron ore to my forge is a colossal pain in my ass right now.

I haven't really done anything else in the game right now, except to grind out shit tons of bronze and steel. I did stop mining for a few hours to level up a companion. I have a lvl 55 Werebear (started at lvl 11), 8K HP, 2K crits, and his attack is AOE. I was getting my ass thoroughly kicked so I tried leveling up a companion, it took a few hours, but it is worth it. He is an awesome tank.

When I finish grinding out my T3 steel armor, I will start cruising around the island and exploring a lot more.

PS: I found that 'strange plant' and I have one word to describe it: HENTAI!

Thank you very much for your work. The game is starting to take shape.

I can't download the torrent—the site require registration, and I really don't like registering just anywhere. Please upload the torrent to a site that doesn't require registration.

yea, agree. this is the most noticeable change for me. late game it becomes less noticeable when you get +100 stamina buff, +50 stamina from the mask and increase stamina from leveling
Yes, which ofc helps, and better mining tools etc. And bread is easy to make now, which helps. The problem isnt the stamina bar itself though, its the regeneration. Hopefully its possible to level it up this time and not being at default 1.

Really good use if the they have made some swords fit within the gap between the black steel great sword and big fucking sword. Can one ask, without you spoiling too much, where one should look for weapons loot? This is my second playthrough and I havent come across any of those chests they are supposedly locked away in. Any tips what to look for without giving me the exact location?

Ah true that. I looked at the armors I was trying to craft and seen they all required the crystal fragments. I guess I didn't look hard enough at the last ones. I actually finished the vanguard set last night. So glad its not bugged anymore or I would not be using it.

Weird I didn't notice the change last build. I compared them a few builds ago and never imagined it would change. But yea the Hellfire Vissage is my goto mask. Been using the gladiator mask for a bit because of low health and it has a crit chance boost that made it viable for a time.

The grind is more intense this build for sure. Much more difficult to get the armor going, but after I get strong enough to kill anything its sorta boring so I'm taking this part moderately slowly to enjoy it. Monsters hitting hard tho so I also got a werewolf companion. Started at level 6 and he's now 120 something. I only whip it out if I see like a level 60 wasp or something I'm like "Nope, you gonna talk to me friend instead". But since I just made the vanguard armor I likely won't need him much anymore.

All the chests are just outside of the perimeter of the island either on small little patch of land or a peninsula. One is guarded by a drake, one is guarded by a nightmare, but the last one is not guarded by anything and sits next to a small boat. However, the keys are not as easy to find. You should find them by normal exploration tho. They will be glowing yellow just like the cards glow pink. One key you find on an altar right next to a card. Another key you find on a work bench that you can actually use. And the last key is found next to a chest that contains a crystal that you visit eventually if you are chest hunting.

Is gettin pregnant bugged or what am i doing wrong ?
no getting pregnant works fine. You may want to check your default pregnancy chance, I forget what the game starts with default, maybe 25% or something like that. There are both fertility potions and the rabbit mask that gets you pregnant every time

New Isabel Quest Trigger: has anyone done this? Using an old save and not sure if old save (as quests got screwed up / wiped) locks out or I just missed how to trigger.

To be fair, there are bugs, but I remember the very early releases of this. The creator has worked on this for years now, and he's done a great job as a solo/small team project. Both in gameplay and other things to make it functional. It's a good bit of fun and worth the time spent.

Oh sure, there are bugs but it's disortive to say nothing works (now if it's not one's cup of tea understandable) - like I said dump on the game for real buginess like the quests bugging out if one is continuing an old save and it seems some old "holes in the world" problems in the dungeon, but most things are working pretty well as compared with same time last year. One can critique design choices too - like stamina (although I find it more tolerable than Bipo but it's a real point)

Yeah latest build I think is pretty much decent - and as per Discord he's a solo with occasional help so that's showing some dedication over the years and initially neg reviews.

Why do I see the game at suboptimal resolutions? If I set it to the highest resolution, I see black artifacts nearby.

There are various "tools" throughout the map (e.g., work bench, forge, armor upgrade anvil). Anyone find an armor bench?
