Personally, I would suggest that you delete the entire wickedisland folder in appdata\local. When you delete that wickedisland folder and then launch the game, it will autogenerate all of those files again.
I have played this game through a few updates and deleting that folder before you start the game can clear up a lot of errors. Yes, it does delete your saves, but I have run into enough problems where the Dev has updated or changed basic game interactions and older saves are not always compatible.

One question I have: Have you played an Unreal Engine game before?

If you haven't or you are just not sure, go to this folder and run the executable in that folder:
WickedIsland0.8.5.7\Windows\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us
It is a prerequisite setup for the Unreal Engine itself. Even if you have played other UE games, it won't hurt to run it anyways and let it install.

I did as you said, I installed from \Windows\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us and deleted the wickedisland folder in appdata\local and the strange part is when I start the game it gives me a fatal error and I checked if it autogenerated the files and they don't appear at all I completely deleted the game and reinstalled it, but the same problem appears, fatal error, I don't know what else to do, honestly

I can make a few suggestions, but honestly, I have no idea why you are getting a fatal error message. If the game isn't even generating the gamesettings files, it sounds like the game is crashing even before the game loads.

I can upload my copy of the game settings file for you, but I do not have any engine.ini file anywhere on my install. There is nothing in the appdata folder and nothing in the game folder.

The only other thing I can think of for you to try is to go to this location, WickedIsland0.8.5.7\Windows\WickedIsland\Binaries\Win64, and try running the wickedisland-win64-shipping.exe file.
I remember a game I played a few years ago and at one point that was the file that I had to use to make the game launch. I can't remember what the problem was that caused that, but multiple people were having the same issue and running that win-shipping.exe file allowed the game to run.

Have you ever run this game before? If this is the first time you have tried playing this game, what are your system specs? This game is pretty demanding on hardware and I think some older machines and laptops with older integrated GPUs have issues.

If all else fails, you might want to look at updating your graphics drivers IF you have never updated them before. If you have updated them in the last 6 months to 1 year ago, you should be fine and I wouldn't worry about updating them.

Did the cheats get removed, or did the key to open them change?

I did use the Search thread method first and came up empty on answers, clarifying before anyone suggests that method.

The cheats are still there. The default key is the / key on the number pad.
Pressing the / key on the main part of the keyboard won't work, it has to be the / on the number pad.

You can, also, check to see what key is mapped to bring up the cheat menu. Just press the Esc key, click on Settings, and then click on Input Settings. In that area are all of the key mappings for the game and one of them should be Cheat Menu.

Thank you very much, it works now, I appreciate it
