Well thats strange because it sounds exactly the way I've tried to do it, but it never grows anything. I've even tried just using one type of seed instead of several but still nothing. Been this way on two different saves.

You are not the only one that is having that issue with the farm plots.
I built 2 plots on the most recent version and dropped a stack of about 50 fiber seeds and 50ish spoiled food and nothing ever happened, except for the spoiled food disappearing. I got tired of them not doing anything except consuming spoiled food and just deleted the things.

It is always possible that the farming plots got nerfed somehow and now take hours of real time to grow anything, where it used to be that you added a handful of seeds and spoilage and after about a game day or so you had grown materials that could be harvested.
If the plots are working on this version, they are so slow, they are just not worth the effort or resources. The random crap on the ground respawns much faster than those plots.

Ok, these questions are not as a player but as a dev I'm very interested in the character creator you have and have some questions about the project as a whole. Did you make the character mesh yourself, did you find it somewhere? Similar with the creator, did you make it yourself or find it in the marketplace (Fab now, I guess)? And are you using Blueprints or pure C++?

I know, I know, this has almost nothing to do with what this entire site is about But I'm curious and really want to get started on some UE5 projects I've had in my head for a while

its 15.5gb on pixeldrain/gofile and 14.41gb on mega/uploadhaven

still runs like ass even on strong hardware, that castle pass the beginning village to the right puts my pc to it's knees even with fg enabled it goes down to 45 fps. and without fg the game in general is inconsistent with at worst runs at like 40 to 30 fps on my system on high settings.


out of all the 3d adult games made in ue5 i have tried over the years i believe this is the most unoptimized of all of them, i had no issues with other ue5 games on this site just this one.

and i tried, Carnel Instinct, runs like butter on ultra settings, parasite inside, beasts in sun, feign, delta zone, lustful adventure. all ran fine on my system without much hiccups except feign which i had to tone the graphics a little bit, and maybe one of those still used ue4.


some of the low effort ones posted here probably also run like shit but i have yet to try those but in terms of a game with lot going on with it, this one is the worst performance wise i have come across.

Its a UE5 game, made to run with DX12 and pretty much the latest hardware if Lumen is enabled. I run everything on epic just fine, even without FG. Most of the settings in all UE games are dictated by the engine, not the game. Means all unreal engine games have the same settings and do the same things. There are things a dev can do to make it better or worse but overall its pretty much the same across the board.

Yes, I have a big one, but there is only the option to make legendary advanced armor and such, weapons are not

Weapons are made at the normal workbench, the one you can use to craft axes and pickaxes.
There is a separate armor bench to craft all of the various armors, from leather to legendary.
There is an Anvil that can be used to upgrade crafted armor, level 2 and level 3 versions of the base armor that you can craft from the workbench.

If you are looking at the normal workbench and cannot see any weapons that can be made, I have two questions for you:
Are you using a save from a previous version?
Did you complete the fisherman quests?

- If you are using a save from a previous version, you might want to start a new game. This game is notorious for saves being incompatible with new updates.
- It may not be the cause of your issues, but it always feels like there is a lot of stuff that depends on completing the fisherman quests.

One last thing you can do is the nuke the WickedIsland folder in Appdata\local, especially if you have played an earlier version of the game. This game tends to be pretty buggy and saves and settings from previous versions can easily cause weird crap to happen, such as not being able to make any weapons.

So I can't buy the fish mission to satisfy my hunger, and I'm already at level 12, I only have a stone pickaxe, nothing made of iron except armor

So, if I understand you correctly:
1. You deleted the wicked island game folder, downloaded the current version (0.8.5.4), and then extracted that version to its own folder.

3. You started a brand new game, on a brand new save, and you are unable to complete any of the fisherman quests.

I did exactly that on my machine and the game runs perfectly fine for me. I can craft armor, I can craft weapons, I completed all of the fisherman quests with no issues whatsoever, and I was able to roam around the island, entering the various dungeons and having sex with and fighting the various creatures in the game.

Are you talking about the quest to bake some bread? That is the only hunger mission I can think of.

If you look along the beach there should be some wheat that you can harvest. Once you have harvested 5 wheat, you need to place the wheat into a campfire and turn on the campfire. It should bake a loaf of bread for you and allow you to complete that quest with the fisherman.
