This is a bit of a tangent away from game life, but real-life sharing of your partner (including slutification) usually doesn't play out like in porn. It is fully possible to have most events on sharing without Mei having sex with any other guy at all. Being open to sharing/swinging is an option to participate in, not a must.

Just a few thoughts about the info from the new 0.54 changelog. According to it, the Kati/Jamal side of the game now is set up towards the final events and closing up the storylines there. Looking forward what these events will be. Especially since it seems you can thread/branch in parts of the other main paths into the route you play.
Hopefully one such "branch ins" might be a non-NTR/sharing/swinging version of the talk between Mei and one of the other VIP girls in the hot tub event. This talk has potential since it seems to hint that Mei might start VIP rooming/hut tubbing. Could be a decision for wife and MC to do together then on the sharing/swinging and romance routes. i was gonna ask this on steam but it seemed the dev or community not that active, so is there differences between the versions on steam or on patreon or here!??, hard NTR (like this dev called it in the walkthrough) which is hard to come by is my favorite genre in AVNs and most of the NTR AVNs here focus more on the sharing aspect of it instead of its true meaning which is fine because i like it too but i prefer true NTR

There is no difference between the various versions of WDR. So no problem on this front. But you are joking when you say that most NTR AVN focus more on the sharing aspect, right? Because I prefer the sharing aspect and I can tell you that one of the greatest pet peeves of sharing fans like me is that FAR too many NTR games focus too much on the NTR aspect.

What I'd ideally like is a path where the MC and Mei have an understanding that their relationship is just surface and not a typical, exclusive marrige, and he's cool with her sleeping around and even slutting out but is always a part of it, on a level playing field with Jamal and the others, and not sneaking around or being treated like shit. If that's in there to be found, I haven't come across it yet.
Essentially there is, but that seems to be the most common question in this game's thread, 'cause you have to get the early game 'juuuust right'. There are guides on here but I can tell you how I found it without the guides... save scummed. Its renpy so you can quickly fast-forward between choices, it tells you which choices require which attributes... so I saved where the choices are that give you attribute points, and then when I found an option that I wanted (and that was blocked off) I ran back, adjusted my choices, fast-forwarded, and then tried it. The 'defining moment' is basically in the park walk. You let them go ahead, watch them play, and then later you tell him you're cool with it. If you managed your numbers well you'll get him saying 'hey, you're cool' and from then forward you're basically bros and she gets opened up without you getting humiliated.
Im not so sure about that... as someone who regularly plays every single major route every public update, it seems much more linear than that.
I nearly always take the "it's cool" park walk fork, along with various permutations between sharing/non-sharing and antagonist/non-antagonistic and snoop/no-snoop (the two companies).
If you give me any combination of those above 3 switches, I can tell you what the outcome is. On the sharing/non-antagonistic it's the closest to what Logan spoke of, but it also goes over the top on their relationship.
I don't really think that'll ever exist in a pure form, I'd love it too, but that goes against what every ntr fan (and sadly most nts fans) want in a game - that is, the female LI having sex "like a guy", with almost no emotional investment but lots of hot sex.
OK, thank you both for your input there. I think I've done the same thing that you suggest, HypnoKitten, and still wasn't really happy with the end result. Unless i went down a somewhat different path (and kudos to the dev for creating so many possibilities) I hit a point where it felt like the MC was an unwanted third wheel, and while there wasn't the open hostility of the other path (which I absolutely never want) it was still uncomfortable and very much a cuckold situation, rather than a group of uncommitted people having fun.

Just a remark, in the park walk you have to win(!) the race and then have naughty fun with Mei to develop towards/have a fork towards a good open marriage. Letting Jamal win or walking with Kati leads potentially towards cucking and sub stuff.
